he suggested I play with #7242, Jon's UI PR
and I'm getting really weird behavior:
dead notebook, input cells don't execute at all (no * in [], no output, nothting).
Min RK
@minrk
Dec 18 2014 00:36

Fernando Perez
@fperez
Dec 18 2014 00:42

Dec 18 2014 01:52
great job, @jdfreder! I have a minor beef with the gray space above the page (editor & nb), but it's an easy fix, and I love everything else. Many, many thanks!

for the ipython widget: IntSliderWidget, is there a way to subdivide it - so instead of one bar to drag along there could be two or three? or is that something that would need to be built from scratch?
note, not multiple sliders which each have one draggable bar, but rather two or three draggable bars on the same slider.
afonit
@afonit
Dec 18 2014 14:44
I just realized, I can just use the interact and do a start=(0,29), end=(0,29), this will effectively allow me to get 3 populations [(0, position of start slider),(position of first slider, position of end slider),(position of end slider, 29)], so I will play with that and see if it gets me what I need. But I would still be curous if the IntSliderWidget can be subdivided.

@all Won’t be making it to the meeting today, as I will be on a plane, but hope it goes well! I assume there is also probably not a meeting next week due to Christmas. If there is one on New Year’s then I’ll be there then!

@afonit no, two handles is the maximum the control allows. I think you could fake it with clever css

Dec 18 2014 18:59
I would vote to remove Duplicate, too.
Notebook actions: Rename, Grade, Publish, Move, Delete.
These are future actions
Doug Blank
@dsblank
Dec 18 2014 19:06
Yes... I like the dropdown with Rename added
"Running" might also include running Clusters, too.
Doug Blank
@dsblank
Dec 18 2014 19:13
BTW, we are using Clusters with all Metakernel kernels (Octave, Pascal, Scheme, Prolog, etc).
I like the "Activities" tab... sounds like it makes it simpler.

Good day folks - does anyone know how I could go about setting these options for IPython's nbserver? (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/X-Frame-Options) I want to be able to embed notebooks in an iframe from a different app but don't know quite how Python serves http requests yet... beyond t's not a defacto webserver. Need to be able to set these at the server level it seems.

Dec 18 2014 20:35
@dbartow I think X-Frame-Options aren't well-supported across browsers. On latest master, the way you want to set those settings is via Content Security Policy See here for a description: https://github.com/ipython/ipython/blob/d3e620f53a3553bc73952e928dbc5bf4caf5a2cd/docs/source/whatsnew/development.rst#content-security-policy
