but since (quite) recently, allow_none is False everywhere by default

yeah, was playing with traitlets for domain modeling
as opposed to schematics

@/all zeromq-4.0.6 has broken our heartbeat protocol.
I've been talking to the devs about the problem, and so far the response is "we didn't have a test for it, so it doesn't count as a backward-incompatible change"
Which is strange, given that zmq has very little test coverage.

they are awesome engines
The rest of the car, not so much. But the engine was prima - made by Yamaha
