@akloster it will load the model module
_model_name and _model_module (requirejs path) must be specified.

I'd like bokeh plots within notebooks to be visible when viewed on GitHub.

Is there someone at GitHub or within Jupyter who I or Bokeh devs should ping about this?

GitHub won't allow JS output or arbitrary HTML output to render for security reasons
Not sure there is a way around that. The person to reach out to would be Arfon Smith though

OK, is there any reasonable workaround?

Not really - only static images really

What if bokeh plots specify both a static image in the 'image/jpeg' mime dictionary key, and also a custom format in some other key
that's pretty much the purpose for having multiple mime types - some clients will display one type, others will display another
github only displays static images - that's fine.
let them have their static images.

sorry; was going to try to talk you through git issues
but it sounds like things are fine
after all
you pulled, there were merge conflicts, so you fixed them and committed?

sorry, I have to leave now. I think it's probably fine. Let me/Sylvain test it tomorrow by actually running the code and tests.
