hey guys - sorry to bug you, do you know if there is a parameter that controls how much text is truncated in the IPython terminal when printing?

yea.. like sdfasdfasdf ...
I think I figured it out though - we're experimenting with the pycharm debugger
the remote debugger
and they have an embedded IPython shell
(who knows what theyv'e done with it)
but I guess in remote debugging they rate limit the text, which I think makes sense

windows x64: I can't change the font size for ipython qtconsole
.ipython/profile_default/ipython_config.py:
I changed c.IPythonWidget.font_size = 16
but it does nothing
(I confirmed that the file is being run by ipython. when I add deliberate syntax errors, they show up in qtconsole)

Can you ask on https://github.com/jupyter/help ? My guess either your config file is not the right one, or the config key has changed.

Hi guys - am a little stuck -and in need of some ipywidgets advice ? Anyone around to advise ?
Basically - I have a large number (> 200) values to push into a Dropdown widget and notice that the dropdown widget (as per ipywidgets 4.1.1) doesn't provide a scrollbar.
Believe that this is fixed in ipywidgets 5 (checked the Issues and saw that the same issue had been raised and closed). Wondering if this is simple enough fix to backport to 4.1.1 ?

Lastly - I've written an Autocomplete widget (as a workaround to the Dropdown issue above) . I'd parked it for a few months but have picked it up again. Whilst I seem to have most of the standard autocomplete functionality working - I can't seem to wire up the select/change events to update the backing model. Wondering if there are any examples on wiring up new ipywidgets with jquery (on 4.1.1). I've found an example on ipywidgets 5 - but having read the "compatability table" on the ipywidgets github page - I'm unsure as to whether I can upgrade the widgets to 5 whilst keeping the other jupyter components as per stock Anaconda 2.5.0 ? Any thoughts anyone ?
