Hi All - I am new to programming + iPython but very interested in data visualization. Can anyone direct me with a good graphing / visualization library. I am looking at Boken & NVD3... and if you can direct me to a good tutorial, that will be greatly appreciated.
This is pretty good

Hello - can someone guide me on how I can connect to a remote sql db (MariaDB) instance to retrieve data from iPython?

@jayrodrigues you might be better served in a general Python questions forum, such as Stack Overflow. This is a place for discussing IPython in particular.
You may also find the mariadb documentation helpful, which includes Python examples.
IPython doesn't change anything about how you would talk to the database with Python, so you will likely find better results if you exclude IPython from the search, and just look for Python examples.

Thanks @minrk - I will. I just realized, I have to rephrase my question as its not clear. I am working in iPython. How to connect to a remote db and should I be using an ORM within iPython to manipulate the data or use SQL...

But I guess, like you said, iPython does not care.

A popular Python ORM is SQLAlchemy

Also, for future reference it is "IPython" not "iPython", an abbreviation of "Interactive Python"
