@jakswa Yes it was useful! I've had a busy week at work and haven't had time for side projects unfortunately.
You've already done most of the leg work which is awesome. I don't know if I'll need lat/long for stations but it's also useful to have. I'm going to play around with google maps transit layer to see if I can isolate the train lines and then provide information on "segments" of the line between stations associated with train ETA, etc.
Since you have a convenient way of accessing closest trains, arrivals, etc. it should (famous last words) be a simple overlay the info on the segments. I just don't know if I can remove non-relevant transit info from the transit layer.
