how does this plugin react to dns changes of the redis host? I am assuming worse case scenario it will adhere to the ttl of the jvm?
@lifeofguenter The new host name and port would need to be specified. If not specified, and the old host and port does not have a Redis instance running, it will start throwing errors in the logs. Fingerprint metadata for those requests will be lost since the plugin does not have any local cache/buffer.
The connection timeout and socket timeout (that can be set in the config page) will be adhered to.
thanks - apologies, I meant if the records for the same hostname change. essentially I am trying to figure out if I can use a clustered redis or need to rely on a failover (via dns) for high-availability
but guessing I can just use redis-cluster which should be safer
