Hello Jenkins community!I am really interested to work with the project on EDA plugins. Please let me know how can I contribute to your project idea, and i would be grateful to work with you on this project.

@oleg-nenashev
@godslayer201 Hi, thanks for the interest! The first step would be to define what would be EDA tools you are interested in

@godslayer201
@oleg-nenashev would Magic a great place to start with, since its one of the most popular tools available? Also, I wanted to ask the community would they require any particular plugins to be implemented?
Oleg Nenashev
@oleg-nenashev
@godslayer201 Magic could be an option. I have never used it on my own, so I estimate the complexity and comment on automation feasibility/use-cases. https://github.com/libresilicon/magic-8.2 does not look to be very active

@martinda
I noticed there are more active open source SystemVerilog parsers projects in the past year then before. Most if not all are solo-superman projects, not associated with any larger open source org. I wonder what could be done to help them grow.

Hey @martinda@oleg-nenashev@godslayer201 I will be working on plugin related to fusesoc https://github.com/olofk/fusesoc , have worked on pipeline library https://github.com/librecores/librecores-pipeline-lib during gsoc 19 , had already done introductory call on this with oleg , will be updating on this soon. Comments on this would be quite helpful

I Still am getting vrun executable not found.
Oleg Nenashev
@oleg-nenashev
Unfortunately I have never used the plugin on my own, so it is hard to say what is going wrong. Have you configured a tool installation or a PATH for your Jenkins user @shubhamabhang77 ?
Shubham Abhang
@shubhamabhang77
Yeah.
Oleg Nenashev
@oleg-nenashev
We could jump on the call and take a look together. What is your availability this week @shubhamabhang77 ?
Shubham Abhang
@shubhamabhang77
I am available this week.
I want to ask some doubts regarding tools too.
You can suggest some time according to your schedule.

Hello everyone! I am planning to participate in GSoC 2020, and extend the work of @Nancy-Chauhan in creating a Jenkins plugin for test automation. Is this project feasible for GSoC 2020?
Nancy Chauhan
@Nancy-Chauhan
Hey @XenophobiusLovegood I was trying to work on this way back, but due to time constraint couldn't start and continue. But I guess we can pick pace here https://github.com/librecores/librecores-pipeline-lib This is the place u can start with CC @oleg-nenashev
Oleg Nenashev
@oleg-nenashev
@XenophobiusLovegood@Nancy-Chauhan yes, such project would be possible. Popeline library discovery is a good starting point
