    Hi! In the contributing.md I did not find any clue that development not possible from windows. Is there any restriction? Build fails without any modification. I tried WSL also. Just tons of inconsistent and dead links everywhere in the last 2 days. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

    Which plugin are you trying to build? Plugins should compile under Windows without problems. We use Windows in our CI builds as well. Which error messages do you have? Which dead links do you mean?

    i.e https://github.com/jenkinsci/jenkins/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md "After that, you can start Jenkins using Java CLI (guide)" <- guide link is dead

    I see. Our Wiki has been deactivated quite some time now. We are currently migrating all content to jenkins.io. This migration is part of Hacktoberfest 2021, feel free to provide a corresponding PR.

    image.png I see this during mvn -pl war jetty:run -Dskip.yarn execution. Also, mvn test shows a lot of test failures .

    Is there a proper documentation from 0 to the developer phase? I started to feel a little bit confused as zero modification happened in the forked code until now.

    From the documentation it looks like that you should skip the tests as a first step: mvn -am -pl war,bom -DskipTests -Dspotbugs.skip -Dspotless.check.skip clean install
    Are you planning to contribute to Jenkins or to a plugin?

    I am planning to jenkins at the first place. The run without tests is working fine, now. But as I start " mvn -pl war jetty:run" that part is failing.
    I mean seems reasonable to skip tests for first time to fasten the process, but that does not mean everything is OK. Also I believe this is not the expected result to see, after the start of the application

    If you have any better WoW @uhafner:matrix.org I really appriciate any other options, still for me seems weird that the fresh fork & fresh build fails on start and tests

    Actually I never use the jetty:run goal I simply run java -jar jenkins.war with the generated artifact, I am not sure if that is still supported. Does anyone use this command to startup Jenkins?

    Please do not crosspost in different forums, this is about contributing to Jenkins.

    Hi, just a little question : I've updated the index.jelly of the conventional-commit-plugin (https://github.com/jenkinsci/conventional-commits-plugin/blob/main/src/main/resources/index.jelly) but the description in the search result of the plugins.jenkins.io page is not updated. Is I missed something ?

    Hey folks, is there a way to run a stage on multiple agents by the use of labeling in a declarative pipeline? I have 42 web servers I need to deploy a web app to and I would like to use Jenkins agent to do this.

    Stéphane Philippart: I'd have to check the code but I believe that comes from pom.xml, the description field?

    Perhaps but I only update the index.jelly file

    Hi, could someone share the doc from the "Modernizing Jenkins Plugins" workshop?
    Mark Waite
    @MarkEWaite
    Doc is at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PKYIpPlRVGsBqrz0Ob1Cv3cefOZ5j2xtGZdWs27kLuw/edit#heading=h.hvd0nm6pz5o4 . We're still working to convert it into a tutorial on www.jenkins.io. Video series that covers many of the topics begins at https://youtu.be/Fev8KfFsPZE . Links to the second and third sessions of that video series are available in the description of the video. Fourth session will be next week

    question around jenkins-ec2 plugin. I see the the image type available for launch is a drop down list. However, not all image type are available in the list. For ex. dl1 type is not listed. Is there way to specify the required image type?

    Hi, I wanted to add two new developers to the team of plugin, maintained by me, but there isnt any option available for them to join the jenkins github org. Could anyone please suggest what could be done on this issue? Thanks!

    @sindhusri16: just committers or releases too?
    Sindhu Sri Yarlagadda
    @sindhusri16
    For now, just to commit the code.
    One of them to commit, and one of them will assist in release process.
