@slide and @james-crowley I would love to have a review and merge of jenkinsci/docker#1069 with the intent that it would be merged shortly after the next week's delivery of 2.263.3. I'd rather not risk updating from JDK 11.0.9 to 11.0.10 in the same release that delivers the regression fixes that will be in 2.263.3, but I'd like to update to the most recent JDK as soon after that as we reasonably can.
I've switched my CI test environment from JDK 8u275 to JDJK 8u282 and have done some basic verification of the transition from 11.0.9 to 11.0.10. No issues detected.
how do you do that? are you running jenkins outside of docker?
I should have been more clear in my statement. My Docker image with agents has now updated the 20+ agents to run with JDK 8u282 for those locations where JDK 8u282 is available (Windows, CentOS, Debian, Oracle Linux, openSUSE, SUSE, Ubuntu) on hardware platforms including AMD64, s390x, and ppc64le. JDK 8u275 is confirmed working in those cases where JDK 8u282 is not yet available (ARM32, aarch64, OpenBSD, FreeBSD). The Jenkins controller in that installation is running a Docker image based on JDK 8u242. I'll switch it soon to test a pending pull request to update the JDK version used in the Jenkins controller.
Tests are running now with Jenkins 2.263.2 using JDK 8u282 from a docker image I built as jenkinsci/docker#1070 . I'll report test results in that pull request
Just one question I had on that one about git-lfs, looks good in general
I didn't see the question on git-lfs. Was it related to the version of git-lfs included in Buster? 2.7.1 per https://packages.debian.org/buster/git-lfs . That's the version that shows a problem with JENKINS-59569 - git LFS 2.7.1 fails clone with reference repository
Who is Raymundo Ayala's and why are they resolving comments in the platform SIG meeting doc?
I don't recognize Raymundo Ayala as anyone associated with the Platform SIG.
Hello. pls approve these proposed tweets: (1) #JenkinsIsTheWay to explore different business processes! How did #Fintech DevOps engineer @vsilverman shorten software release cycles from weeks to hours? By automating the entire #CICD infrastructure with #JenkinsCI: https://jenkinsistheway.io/industry/to-explore-different-business-processes/ (2) #JenkinsIsTheWay to deliver! #Telecom IT architect Tomas Valentukevicius used #JenkinsCI to create a multi-tenant platform with a smooth #CICD experience. Read why he says “Jenkins offered minimal hassle to get everyone happy.” > https://jenkinsistheway.io/industry/to-deliver/ Thank you.
+1 from me for those tweets, though they should probably be approved in the advocacy channel rather than the platform-sig channel
@MarkEWaite Apparently, anyone can resolve comments in Google docs if they can suggest changes. That seems not great :(
boopathy-prog: it all depends on the JDK/JRE you are using
@MarkEWaite anything we need to do before the meeting starts? I saw the doc you shared
The Containers and Platforms track of the Jenkins Contributor Summit will meet today\

Hello, I've trying to create a new Jenkins node from python and jenkins api ...I have no problem creating a node but there are two specific fields that I want to set but can't find a way to do this. The fields I want set a variable in the NodeProperties section and also set 'Host Ket Verification Strategy". Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
