    how do you do that? are you running jenkins outside of docker?
    Mark Waite
    @MarkEWaite
    I should have been more clear in my statement. My Docker image with agents has now updated the 20+ agents to run with JDK 8u282 for those locations where JDK 8u282 is available (Windows, CentOS, Debian, Oracle Linux, openSUSE, SUSE, Ubuntu) on hardware platforms including AMD64, s390x, and ppc64le. JDK 8u275 is confirmed working in those cases where JDK 8u282 is not yet available (ARM32, aarch64, OpenBSD, FreeBSD). The Jenkins controller in that installation is running a Docker image based on JDK 8u242. I'll switch it soon to test a pending pull request to update the JDK version used in the Jenkins controller.

    @MarkEWaite
    Tests are running now with Jenkins 2.263.2 using JDK 8u282 from a docker image I built as jenkinsci/docker#1070 . I'll report test results in that pull request

    Just one question I had on that one about git-lfs, looks good in general
    Mark Waite
    @MarkEWaite
    I didn't see the question on git-lfs. Was it related to the version of git-lfs included in Buster? 2.7.1 per https://packages.debian.org/buster/git-lfs . That's the version that shows a problem with JENKINS-59569 - git LFS 2.7.1 fails clone with reference repository

    Who is Raymundo Ayala's and why are they resolving comments in the platform SIG meeting doc?
    Mark Waite
    @MarkEWaite
    I don't recognize Raymundo Ayala as anyone associated with the Platform SIG.

    Hello. pls approve these proposed tweets: (1) #JenkinsIsTheWay to explore different business processes! How did #Fintech DevOps engineer @vsilverman shorten software release cycles from weeks to hours? By automating the entire #CICD infrastructure with #JenkinsCI: https://jenkinsistheway.io/industry/to-explore-different-business-processes/ (2) #JenkinsIsTheWay to deliver! #Telecom IT architect Tomas Valentukevicius used #JenkinsCI to create a multi-tenant platform with a smooth #CICD experience. Read why he says “Jenkins offered minimal hassle to get everyone happy.” > https://jenkinsistheway.io/industry/to-deliver/ Thank you.

    +1 from me for those tweets, though they should probably be approved in the advocacy channel rather than the platform-sig channel

    @MarkEWaite Apparently, anyone can resolve comments in Google docs if they can suggest changes. That seems not great :(

    Hello, I've trying to create a new Jenkins node from python and jenkins api ...I have no problem creating a node but there are two specific fields that I want to set but can't find a way to do this. The fields I want set a variable in the NodeProperties section and also set 'Host Ket Verification Strategy". Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    I am not sure, it was brought up in the Platform SIG meeting this morning. I wasn't part of the contributors summit. The event is SheCodeAfrica which is having a Contributhon and is looking for corporate sponsors

    ahhh, i was just trying to figure out the context of your comment
    Mark Waite
    @MarkEWaite
    Thanks @slide-o-mix:matrix.org . SheCodeAfrica was discussed in the Docs Track (east) with Zainab Abubakar and Kristin Whetstone. @james-crowley we discussed a diversity and inclusion initiative in the platform SIG meeting today. We are working with Zainab Abubakar of SheCodeAfrica in the Docs SIG. The SheCodeAfrica organization is preparing for an April "SheCodeAfrica Contributhon" where women in Africa are paid for one month to contribute to open source projects. They are seeking corporate sponsors. See the Platform SIG meeting notes for details
    @halkeye:g4v.dev if DigitalOcean has a diversity and inclusion initiative, sponsoring the SheCodeAfrica Contributhon in April would be nice. Sponsorships begin at USD $1000 for corporations

    Maybe it is time to increase the recommended system resources in https://www.jenkins.io/doc/book/installing/linux/#prerequisites . 1GB RAM is not too much in 2020. https://twitter.com/happyCoder_/status/1362686355411722241

    Wow, yes, I don't start with less than 4 GB RAM.

    i thought so too, but it doesn't have the docker cli added to it
    my issue was unrelated, i thought i was using an older version of the cli and having trouble pushing, but it was an issue with a proxy
    Mark Waite
    @MarkEWaite
    https://www.jenkins.io/blog/2020/05/06/docker-agent-image-renaming/ announced the renaming of the jenkins/jnlp-slave image to be jenkins/inbound-agent . The specializations of jenkins/jnlp-slave (now jenkins/jnlp-agent) have not all made that same transition
