@jenius i am not quite sure how to indicate that the 'public' directory files are what i want to deploy. i get the basic setup of the config.rb script (host, repo, deploy location etc.) but where do I tell mina to copy to contents of 'public' into my web root?

@johnpeele we usually deploy the whole source as it's not really set up to only deploy a particular directory. we then only point our webserver (nginx almost always) to only serve, <deploy_to>/current/public
it's not ideal for a statically compiled site - which is why we're working on a project called ship (https://github.com/carrot/ship) which attempts to be more focused on static deployments
