Hello, Brand new to roots here. I've watched the tutorials and am looking for guidance on best/quickest path to a 1) user friendly tool for content management whose content is available via API; should be CDN, retina, multi language friendly (thinking contentful but wide open to other options); 2) front end stack where I can hit the ground running and just customize instead of building from scratch. Has anyone used Zurb Foundation with Roots? Is there an example or template on the level of the MojoTech site that I can start from?

Hi @eholzwarth! Let me take a stab at answering your questions. 1) Right now the best options are contentful and wordpress, as there are roots extensions for both. If you have other API-based CMS's we'd be open to suggestions and are happy to try to integrate more. 2) None of the people on the roots core team use any sort of front end frameworks (for context, roots is sponsored heavily by an agency, so we do custom builds not templated stuff), so we have not made any efforts to build templates based on them. However, it would be easy to make a roots template integrated with bootstrap or foundation if you wanted. Check out some of the other roots templates, they are quite simple to set up.

Thanks @jenius ! I'm not tied to Foundation, what packages would you recommend to get up and running quickly? It looks like mojotech used Axis and Jeet, is that where I should start?

I never make sites where I get up and running quickly, everything I build is custom, so I don't have a lot of recommendations there
Personally most of what I use to get set up is in the roots base template
axis, rupture, autoprefixer are in the base template, all of these are libraries I maintain
jeet is a great choice if you need a grid
roots has no special handling for front end stuff though, you can just take the css you want and use it normally
you can use bootstrap, foundation, or something custom with as much effort as you would in any other build system. Just load in the files :)
if you want some more examples!
