Got it thanks, that should at least make it so my workaround is not required. Sorry @jenius , we got impatient  Thanks for the prompt update!

@hhsnopek I finally uploaded, check the repo out here.

@EnMod are you not using css_pipeline? How does it know where to look for the style.css.styl
Just default roots settings?

Default roots settings yeah. I left css-pipeline in production for minification, but took it out of default to test its absence as per @techchristie 's suggestion; my style.css.styl gets processed as expected.
I can try a production compile when I get out of work

although I don't think I've seen the issue go away since the last time I production compiled. Just snuck one in, will post results in a sec

only issue is that I don't actually have data to use with roots-contentful (keys)
the template looks fine though

Ah ok, you can sign up for an account for free and give it a shot if you like lol.
Honestly I don't know how else to thoroughly test it, but as long as it looks right it must be in configuration
Or rather, the extension itself

if you use the template does it render?
Noel Quiles
@EnMod
Jun 03 2015 20:53
It renders once then on subsequent changes it exhibits the strange behavior

hmm and you're currently using a similar setup but working?
you could extra out the template
and using roots-client-templates
you can create your views
I will be back later tonight

Currently yeah, I've got that template as is, and attempting roots watch breaks on second compile. I'll take a look at client templates and try once again, thanks for your help
