Yeah, I guess that a lot of 'traditional' sites have a pager that shows the number of pages etc. and then get indexed by Google etc.
Thinking that our clients would need such functionality
I presume that a plugin can provide variables and generate pages from a base view though, maybe we'll look into that

@darthsteven it doesn't have any effect on google rankings, if clients ask about this you can enlighten them with this fact
although having each item in the list have its own view does make a difference, but that can be handled with dynamic content etc

howdy all, anyone hit a file count /size limit? http://grab.by/NZtE chrome/firefox are reading the file somehow incorrectly, dumping parts off the bottom at the beginning of the file

@jenius yeah...but all it takes is one 'SEO expert' to have already asserted themselves on the project and its held hostage to whatever their demands are

@rmatsikas not entirely sure what's going on there, never seen anything like this. is the file itself in the public folder complete, and chrome/firefox are not getting it right?
@darthsteven that sounds pretty rough. at that point I would heavily consider quitting, a company that operates like this probably isn't making it too far...

@jenius ya it all good when i view in finder/sublime but chrome/firefox are reading it in incorreclty

@jescalan
Feb 09 2016 17:55
thats weird. it might be an issue with our server, charge, or with the browser
Ryan Matsikas
@rmatsikas
Feb 09 2016 17:55
it seems to be a size limit cause if i remove enough code it works fine
Jeff Escalante
@jescalan
Feb 09 2016 17:56

Ryan Matsikas
@rmatsikas

sec
Jeff Escalante
@jescalan
Feb 09 2016 17:56
then cd into public and run python -m SimpleHTTPServer
then go to localhost 8000 or whatever it tells you
and see if the same issue comes up
if so, it's a browser issue. if not, it's a charge issue
Ryan Matsikas
@rmatsikas
Feb 09 2016 17:59
ya that looks like its working
could it be a concurrency thing, like charge is refreshing before the file writes completely ?
Jeff Escalante
@jescalan
Feb 09 2016 18:00
yeah not entirely sure what it is...
are you running on the browsersync branch by any chance
Ryan Matsikas
@rmatsikas
Feb 09 2016 18:01
i am using browsersync ya.. i had issues before and was told to pull in some updated packages but that was ages ago
Jeff Escalante
@jescalan
Feb 09 2016 18:01
hmm ok well that's actually an issue with browsersync then
bc that branch uses their server rather than charge
im not sure I can fix that one
Ryan Matsikas
@rmatsikas
Feb 09 2016 18:03
all good, as long as its not the build, i can manually refresh for the time being
Jeff Escalante
@jescalan
Feb 09 2016 18:03
i'd try searching in the browsersync repo for size limit issues, maybe file one?

@jescalan
Feb 09 2016 18:04
ok, if it still persists let me know and we can work on getting an issue filed
or writing a patch
also, browsersync branch is being merged as stable today, so no more shenanigans
I'm now back to full time work, so expect nearly 5x the output :D
