Hi! great vids intro about Roots seems awesome! i just want to know if roots can deploy on user.github.io (not gh-pages) if so do i need to mod the deployed method? thx

@RobyRemzy have GH changed the way those subdomains work? I didn't think you could publish to the root subdomain, regardless of what tech you used?

@djeglin well you can publish a static site under the repo user.github.io like a Jekill one, it will render at http://user.github.io is that what you mean ^_^ ?

Yes just create a repo with your username.github.io and here you go
Go to settings it will show you that its already published at ...

@RobyRemzy yup, sounds about right. it's possible that we could mod the ship gh pages deployer to deploy to a different repo, or you can put the code in the self-named repo and deploy straight there
might be issues with the gh pages deployer though, i've been out of the loop for a while and will be ramping it up next week seriously

Thanks @jenius OK tomorrow I'll try to check or mod the gh-pages deployer. I'm a low skill dude but I can try to report stuff and test that thing :)
