ohhh yeah i think thats an open issue
i have never run into it because i dont hash files in development
since it doesnt really make any sense to do so
im happy to accept a PR to fix this, but i dont have time to deal with it right now, especially because it's such an edge case

Ah ok, am a bit of a newbee to all of this, am not really too bothered about hashing files in development, as not really sure exactly what this is! I am assuming it is something to do with the app.coffee script, I just used the default files with these but notice that on production file it has hashing set to true? I only have two app.coffee files, one which is just app.coffee and the other which is app.production.coffee. If you could give me a bit of guidance on what to do that would be great

Ah I think I may have solve the problem here for me, I have just removed hash:true which was in the app.production.coffee , am just slightly confused as to why the production file is being used while I am developing locally?

this might be helpful: http://roots.cx/docs
here's the docs on environments
the production file should not be used in local dev, unless maybe you have NODE_ENV set to production on your dev machine?
or you are passing -e production to the watch command

yea had a look over the docs, and not using -e production so probably something to do with my node so will have a look at that. Thanks for your help!

Hello! Just getting started with Roots and quite enjoying it. I followed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdWZ0Bpvmw4 to setup a little prototype using an existing Wordpress installation. I have a roots-wordpress question. Can we bring in menus and widgets in addition to posts? Also, can I preconfigure post_types for different categories? Thanks!
