@jescalan returning after a few weeks. i asked on december 6 about the page not refreshing when saving a handlebars file. i've tried destroying the project and creating a new one with no luck. i was wondering if it could be as simple as the watcher not looking for changes to .hbs files?

@cmichaelcooper i doubt it, the watches will look for changes in all types of files
have you tried with any other compilers?
is it only hbs?
does it work with jade, ejs?

Ok, just tested it with ejs and its working perfectly well
It seems like perhaps something is up with your setup
do you have a head and body tag on your page?
sometimes the livereload script inject will fail if you don't have a properly structured html document
I also have it working with handlebars
id be happy to send you the example repo i set up with handlebars
if that would help

i do have a body and head. the content is just an h1 in the body right now. the head tag is empty though.

i got it. i think the browser was injecting the head and body. since the page worked, i thought it was using the jade layout and injecting the compiled hbs, but that is stupid and i'm embarrassed. once i made the document valid it worked perfectly. sorry i wasted your time with that!
