Hello, I have been using Jhipster for a while now, thanks to everyone that works on this. I recently started a new project and I am working with Jhipster v7.0.1, node v14.17.0 and Java 11. While trying to create an entity with the generator (jhipster entity entityNam) I get an error while trying to create an ENUM.

? Do you want to add a field to your entity? Yes
? What is the name of your field? type
? What is the type of your field? Enumeration (Java enum type)
? What is the class name of your enumeration? PlaceType

TypeError: Cannot read property 'includes' of undefined

Does anybody is getting the same?

The JHIpster and other softwares used are of somewhat old version. Can I try the same with the recent version of JHipster and ?ionic

Hi, just a quick question, why do you have @Autowired on a method? That looks like a mistake

Hello please help me. I just created a Jhipster app. Before I had created one app and database and deleted it. When I ran the new fresh app I was successfully able to add data in the entities section. It already had some dummy data. The weird thing is I didn't connect it to any database. I went into pgadmin and searched in the rows, I could not find anything.

How do I find out what database by app is using?

In the Documentation https://www.jhipster.tech/creating-an-app/#3 is the choice "Clustered HTTP sessions using Hazelcast" listed. I would like to use this one, but when I run jhipster I never get this option. Someone got this one running and has a solution for me?

You can look in your .yo-rc.json which dev and which prod database type you have chosen. Also there should be some information in your application-dev.yml

Hi,
I want to add a new frontend next to the generated one in my jhipster app. Since I follow a side by side pattern, I'd like to mostly leave the generated files unchanged. What is is a good way to add the new frontend? I tried creating a new folder named "frontend" next to the generated "webapp" one. The problem which occurred was that there was a dependency clash between my new package json and the one of the existing frontend, because the existing one is in the root of the whole project (and therefore I get's resolved too). I'd appreciate any thoughts on this.

Are you sure that your docker setup is correct. A connection refused looks like the container cannot connect to the net. I would work on that first!

The Network Adapter could not establish the connection (CONNECTION_ID=7shQ4YfiRuC0oFt7Uh2UtQ==)

how i dont know?
it is not connecting to database when i run that image?

Well docker by default doesn’t allow access to the network. How to allow networking is part of the docker documentation. You have to allow the docker container which includes the database to listen to the network a d the container that includes your application to access the network. All information is in docker documentation!

i have a doubt, when we dockerize a springboot app which uses oracle database,my doubt is is it required to have database setup in another machine to run that docker image

If you think container technology isn’t right for you just do not use it and discuss it with your boss/customer! Never use a non fitting technology!

Hi guys. I tried my first jhipster project and can't find how to validate my controller responses... I used the openapi generator, added a @Service class that implements the generated ApiApiDelegate interface, added @Validated on top of my service class declaration, added @Valid on top of my service methods, and hardcoded an invalid response as an example... when I invoke my endpoint, I would expect a validation error but instead my hard-coded invalid response is returned. Do I need to resort to manual validation in this scenario?

hi, I am using caffeine for our cache right now but wanted to implement a second cache with redis for some objects. We run a cluster of multiple monolithic apps running at the same time and want to share the cache on some objects but not all of them. I wondered if anyone has a blueprint for this as I am having a hard time getting two caches wired up
