Hello Alessandro, could you please review and apply this patch: jmapper-framework/jmapper-core#49
Thank you in advance.

Hi @avurro ! Hi everybody!
I have a question. Consider the following

@JGlobalMap
class Dto {
    private Integer id;
    private String startDate;
    private String endDate;
    ...getters & setters
}

@JGlobalMap
class Entity {
    private Integer id;
    private Date startDate;
    private Date endDate;
    ...getters & setters
}

I try to map Dto to Entity and vice versa but see such error
error in static conversion: probably is an incompatibility of signature, the expected input fields do not match with the real ones, checks the configured class.
I've tried to work with @JMapConversion methods, but still no success.

Could you please help me with that ?

@etolbakov
It seems that I've found a solution! So if you have similar issues you know whom to write:)

Is there a way to do type safe mapping using annotations? If I use @JMap("name") I don't find out until runtime that 'name' doesn't exist.
Alessandro Vurro
@avurro
there isn't a way, because with JMapper you aren't obliged to declare the target class
you can define a name that can potentially may correspond to many classes

Ok, thanks.

@avurro Hello, buddy. Does this library support android ?
Alessandro Vurro
@avurro
@johnwatsondev no, but is on the roadmap!

Hi @avurro ! Hi everybody!
I have run into an issue

ERROR com.googlecode.jmapper.JMapper - ConversionBodyIllegalCodeException: There is an error in the generated method. Additional information: by javassist.bytecode.BadBytecode: vVAllAllAll (Ljava/lang/Object;Ljava/lang/Object;)Ljava/lang/Object; in myclass: inconsistent stack height -32219
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

It seems that my structure has a very deep nesting and javassist failed to handle it.
I will try to decrease the nesting level, however could someone recommend me any workaround?

Hi

I’m using JMapper in my application

When ever there is a conversation between Boolean to boolean it is throwing null pointer exception

I tried using JMapConversion and it is working now. But the problem is I have these kind of conversion ( Boolean to boolean ) in so many classes . @avurro Is there any way to specify a rule to convert Boolean to boolean?
always
Dozer does this conversion automatically
annakulakrishna
@annakulakrishna
we just moved from dozer to jmapper
Farouk
@faroukelabady
hello how about you map from Boolean to Boolean and let the java handle the autoboxing from Boolean to boolean
annakulakrishna
@annakulakrishna
@faroukelabady I’m mapping the values between my TO to another consuming service TO.
annakulakrishna
@annakulakrishna
Which is faster Mapstruct or JMapper ?
Appreciate any responses

I guess make the java make the conversion through autoboxing as far as I know this is pretty well supported even if you are using something like jackson
as for who is faster , I went through my own test and found jmapper tends to be faster
but you can try it with a simple java app
just make a two simple class and then map between themone with jmapper and one with map struct and check how much time have passed for example mapping betweeb the two 1000 times

@annakulakrishna
@faroukelabady Ok Thank you 😊

@etolbakov did you manage to solve the problem with deep nesting?

@avurro @faroukelabady I want to use JMapCoversion in xml... I saw few examples but my question is x, y are variables in a class and has getters and setters. I want to use jmapconversion on x, and I want to return x only if y is true else null. So while writing this condition in xml, how can I get y variable value ?

Hi there
I've started to use jmapper recently and I'm just wondering if it's possible to do what I'm trying to do ahah
anyone can tell me why during mapping to destination why my property is not filled as well as this property is inside a nested class in the source
thanks :)

Hi Does JMapper supports Java to probuff conversion
davisanthony76
@davisanthony76
I am mapping 2 classes - one with several simple fields like String, Integer as well as an Enum field - and the other class has a Map<String, String>. I am using the conversion examples - scenario 3. The simple fields map to the collection just fine, but when I add the enumerated type, I get an error "com.googlecode.jmapper.exceptions.JMapperException: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 0". I traced this to a section of code that is assuming that the enumerated type implements an interface, which it doesn't, and this error is due to an unchecked length of an array of interfaces. This is a blocker for me. I can't find a clever way to work around it. What do you need from me to reproduce this error so that it can be resolved?

Is this project still alive? Has it moved or has it been deprecated for something else?

Hello All,
I am using JMapper for one of use case and I am using XML configuration for reading mapping metadata. However I am looking for the externalization of the xml by reading it from Rest API end-points. Any help is appreciated .
