@ysb33r I need to get some sleep, is jruby-gradle-jar-plugin ready for a release too?

Haha slow integration tests eh? I had to optimise a CI system for a client. After that running integration tests on five node concurrently, it still took ~4-5hrs/node.
And we had to do it twice, once standard and once instrumented (as it was C++)

jruby-gradle-jar-plugin is ready - it is waiting for base to be released first.

excellent. let’s try to run that PR on build hive for jar.
Schalk W. Cronjé
@ysb33r
Sep 04 2014 16:43
How does one kick that off on Buildhive? I find it a bit confusing as compare to Dev@Cloud (the other offering from Cloudbees)
R. Tyler Croy
@rtyler
Sep 04 2014 16:43
heh
just add a simple empty commit to the PR
or wait

I think you might be able to retrigger
rats, I can't find a Rebuild button for a pull request triggered build
yeah, I tihnk you'll just have to update it unfortunately
Schalk W. Cronjé
@ysb33r
Sep 04 2014 16:48
That is a very restricted Jenkins on Buildhive - not even a Rebuild button!
R. Tyler Croy
@rtyler
Sep 04 2014 16:49
at least it's free! :D

It’s passed. I can merge it, but what would be worthwhile after merge, is if you can build some simple app with it to see if it works for you.
ok, you’ve already merge :)

I started pulling it into my blick project to replace bundler and warbler for creating jars last night
I can't spend time on that today unfortunately :(
Schalk W. Cronjé
@ysb33r
Sep 04 2014 16:57
OK
do you want to publish to bintray anyways, or do you want to give it a try first in your project?
R. Tyler Croy
@rtyler
Sep 04 2014 16:59
we can publish to bintray, you want to try it? you have access to that org now :)
I think the gradle attributes in the build.gradle file for the jar plugin are correct

Sep 04 2014 17:15
Shall we release as 0.1.2 instead of 0.1.1?
R. Tyler Croy
@rtyler
Sep 04 2014 17:21
nah, the patch-level versions shouldn't be in sync
I don't think we've released a 0.1.0 of jar though
Schalk W. Cronjé
@ysb33r
Sep 04 2014 17:24
you’re right 0.1.0 it is
R. Tyler Croy
@rtyler
Sep 04 2014 17:32
don't forget to create a git tag ("v0.1.0") and push it after you upload to bintray
Schalk W. Cronjé
@ysb33r
Sep 04 2014 17:56
all done. Jcenter request sent. just sorting out the gradle plugins request

@rtyler
Sep 04 2014 18:03
woohoo!
Schalk W. Cronjé
@ysb33r
Sep 04 2014 18:03
Cannot seem to be able to place the request on bintray
it only shows my repositories, not the jruby-gradle packages
R. Tyler Croy
@rtyler
Sep 04 2014 18:05
@ysb33r I just changed you to an admin instead of member in bintray
refresh and rtyu again
R. Tyler Croy
@rtyler
Sep 04 2014 18:40
@ysb33r went ahead and added to jcenter
Schalk W. Cronjé
@ysb33r

I'm really happy that you know how and can release now too!

Schalk W. Cronjé
@ysb33r

I was hoping that you build, something first with jar
R. Tyler Croy
@rtyler
Sep 04 2014 22:10
heh, I can
I'll do that tonight, and leave a message for you here with the results
I just can't do it now
$WORK :(
rtyler @rtyler wants $WORK to == jruby-gradle :)
Schalk W. Cronjé
@ysb33r
Sep 04 2014 22:10

hehe
