It was because I renamed my top-level folders where the jruby projects are in. Gradle, by default, will use the project folder name to determine the jar file name.
I have pushed a fix for this for jar at least
will dot eh same for the other projects at some point

@rtyler I might have a good solution for executable jars. Instead of trying to roll-on-own, I have been playing with shadowJar to see if it will work -
If it does, I could just code an extension for it, as I did for Jar task
