hrm, it looks like the only problem I've got left is that when running the code from the .jar file the code's current working directory is the dir where the .jar file is run from, not within the jar file itself
warbler works around this by extracting the jar file the /tmp and then running code in there

looks like this means that no executable .jar file with relative paths inside of it (e.g. require './myapp') will work properly
I wonder if we should add a self-extraction option?

I couldn't find a way to make Dir.pwd be inside the jar file

I remember reading something about jruby not understanding jar:// as valid filesystem
