@ysb33r if you want to nuke build/vendor, be my guest
it's no longer really useful or valid

I’ll think about that one

my previous reasons for wanting to keep that around are no longer valid, I think @mojavelinux and @robfletcher's usecases around gem dirs are more important than mine
I just need GEM_PATH and GEM_HOME correct and I'm happy :)

BTW did you notice in the PR the other day for the website, that I put a deploy task into the grade script? No need to run deploy.sh.

Let me know your plans. I expect to fly out on the 1st Feb, so will be around the week before. I live about 1h from London, so can travel down easily by train.

Made the change to the code - just want to see that Appveyor reports at least one good build before creating the PR

By adding the following task to out build scripts

task installGroovyDoc (type : Copy) {
    from ({new File(buildDir,'docs/groovydoc')}) {
        include '**'
    }
    into {new File(project.properties.websiteInstallDir,"docs/api/${archivesBaseName}/${version}")}
    onlyIf { project.hasProperty('websiteInstallDir') }
}

we can push groovydoc directly into the website locally. Then just git add the new folder and run griddle deploy

Just need to set -PwebsiteInstallDir on comdline or define in grade.properties.
