so jekyll depends on too many native dependencies that I can't get rid of them
and awestruct is so fucking poorly documented that I can't get it to run properly in my tree

@ysb33r I managed to get awestruct working last night, but I found a bug and it perplexes me how asciidoctor.org has run into it

@ysb33r how are you defining diagrams in your asciidoctor? or was that leanpub converter specific?
Schalk W. Cronjé
@ysb33r
Jul 15 2015 17:44
Nope, you just need to add the asciidoctor-diagram dependency or gem. Then use [ditaa] block.

@ysb33r I'm testing out a new rubygems maven proxy, deployed in an auto-scale group that I control

BTW I pushed a rakefile update to my repo today.
I ran into a technical issue today, which I need to work out how to solve. By default Ruby/Rake prijects write back to the source area, so storing a whole Rake projecy in src/ruby will mean that writes go back to the gradle src dir. This mans that a copied of src.ruby has to be madei to to build/ruby and everything executed there
R. Tyler Croy

Jul 15 2015 20:23
what kind of writes?

be aware that there are framework like hoe which do themself create a copy of the whole ruby project before packing the gem ;)
Schalk W. Cronjé
@ysb33r
Jul 15 2015 20:25
the technical problem is that refelcting the rake tasks back into gradle happens in the configuration phase, before the files csn get copied.
sidenote: hoe is British slang for whore

it's slang in all english as far as I can tell
ruby devs are almost pathologically awful at naming things

:smile:
So I need to figure out a way of switching the model to work inside build/ruby instead of src/ruby after configuration
