@iGormilhit

The authors array starts empty, as awaited. Then I can click on "+ new author", but when the form for the author is displayed, the name field is already in red (because it's required), even if I haven't yet submitted it. More than that, I can select through a radio button the type of the author (person or organisation), and this radio button isn't working correctly: first, the type person should be already selected as it is a default value, and then I can select the two types... Finally, depending the type selected, the field authors.date and authors.qualified is or isn't displayed, and that's not working correctly either.

If you really curious, you can test how it should work on our demo server: https://ils.test.rero.ch, log in with id:reroilstest@gmail.com, passwd:123456, and then load https://ils.test.rero.ch/editor/create/doc

any particular browser?

@iGormilhit
I tried with firefox 61 and chromium 68, at least. I mean, somebody here has probably tried with safari.
Scott
@scottux
k, just checking

@iGormilhit
For now, we have downgraded to 0.8.13 and we will investigate deeper next week, I think.
it could also be a change here i suppose "angular-schema-form-bootstrap": "~0.1.2"
iGor milhit
@iGormilhit
Ok, that's some valuable hints. Thanks.

@Anthropic
This is why I was so worried about doing more 0.8.x releases, hard to test with and hard to feel 100% confident that it didn't break anything. I won't be able to take a look at 0.8.14.1 release until the weekend probably. So the more information on issues and tests to compare against the better. Any plunkers are great as I can make a test from the schema and form provided and make sure that it is in the tests for both 0.x and dev branches.
Marcel J Bennett
@Anthropic
I have updated the description to indicate there are regressions in github and when I get home tonight I will update npm to point to 0.8.13 as "latest" again.
Marcel J Bennett
@Anthropic
@scottux you may be right on the decorator needing an update, it looks like it wasn't re-built after several potentially related changes on the 0.x branch in that repo
Hugo Martins
@hugoalexmartins
hey @Anthropic just came here today. I'll add some extra information on the issue I've posted in github. Let me know if is right time to speak about integration with ngMessages, or anything else, I am facing some troubles about show validation messages, I think the material decorator isn't prepared for ngMessages. Also, about datepicker, I am getting validation error in every date I select to input, but this maybe a issue with date formats, but I didn't investigate it deep.
Marcel J Bennett
@Anthropic
Yeah I don't doubt it, I had always hoped 1.0 would be easier and then I'd update material, I'll see how I go on the weekend.
Hey guys, can someone provide a quick tl;dr on how to get angular-schema-forms-bootstrap working with webpack? I read somewhere in this chat that angular-schema-forms-material comes with angular-schema-forms and its deps bundled, so i was wondering if its the same thing with the bootstrap variation. thanks
So far, I've tried
require('expose-loader?objectpath!ObjectPath');
import 'angular-schema-forms';
import 'angular-schema-forms-bootstrap';

@scottux
angular-schema-form not angular-schema-forms, if that helps.
Marcel J Bennett
@Anthropic
@iGormilhit @rthaut @scottux can any of you try the decorator from 0.8.13 with asf @ 0.8.14? I suspect that the decorator is too new for the version of code in the asf 0.x branch. If that works for both of you and anyone else who can quickly test that I will put out 0.8.15 in the next few days with the same 0.8.13 decorator.
It will be quite painful I imagine trying to sort out what change in the version using the builders caused the regression so I am not sure how much value there is in debugging it further if it works well with the previous decorator. I'd rather spend what little time I have on the next alpha now I am getting closer to a full recovery.
Scott
@scottux
so 0.8.14 for angular-schema-form and 0.8.13 for the material decorator?
Scott
@scottux
i am still trying to get my bearings with all the version juggling and testing
Ryan Thaut
@rthaut
@Anthropic it looks like the conditional array validation works correctly with the 0.8.13 bootstrap decorator when used with ASF v0.8.14, as demo'd here: https://codepen.io/rthaut/full/qMWpaV/
Marcel J Bennett
@Anthropic
@rthaut thanks, I thought that would be the case.
@rthaut @scottux are you in a position to try it out in anything you are working on and see that nothing else is broken (that was working in 0.8.13)? I have tried it with the items in the example site and as far as I can tell it seems ok, but then I didn't have the use case that was found obviously or I would have picked it up.
Scott
@scottux
i will do what i can
Thanks so much for posting the link to those instructions. @rthaut

Another quick question, I notice you guys are including the latest ver of angular-sanitize. Unfortunately, this introduces breaking changes if you are not on the latest version of angular.

I'd like to use angular-sanitize ver 1.5.8 with angular-schema-form instead. Here's my imports-loader rule as stated from the docs.

So far I've tried an alias for angular-sanitize but that doesn't seem to work.

{
test: require.resolve('angular-schema-form/dist/schema-form.js'),
}
Nvm. Realized this was on my end since I was mixing up the versions needed for my app. Thanks a lot everyone.

@Anthropic sorry bother you, but can you just tell me how things going about updating material decorator?
Just asking, but it comes the time which ill need it a lot. Fell free if I can help in anything.
Marcel J Bennett
@Anthropic
@hugoalexmartins to be honest I don't have the bandwidth to update it in the short term, it wouldn't be super hard to update, pretty much just needs to take a look at changes in bootstrap and migrate relative changes prior to the first alpha, any directive and code changes.
Marcel J Bennett
@Anthropic
@hugoalexmartins just a thought, but have you tried with alpha 2? That in theory should work just as well if not better than 0.8.13.

I know it says alpha but only because the new core was upgraded but the main lib had a lot of fixes added and even Material was updated to that.

Also I added a comment on your github issue, there is a previously reported issue that may be the same and there was a suggested solution on that, if you can confirm it is a, the same and, b, works, then I can make a few updates for you in 0.8.15 possibly.

Hugo Martins
@hugoalexmartins
@Anthropic gonna try alpha2 i am using schema form 0.8.14 do you think i sould use 0.8.13 ? all give you a feedback in a few hours. thanks
Hugo Martins
@hugoalexmartins
@Anthropic about update to alpha2, how do you do it ? I am trying with yarn. Couldn't find any versions for "angular-schema-form-material" that matches "1.0.0-alpha.2".
Marcel J Bennett
@Anthropic
@hugoalexmartins use the matching alpha from asf or higher, probably safest with the same level.
The material decorator you would have to use the git path in your package file or copy the file into your repo, alternatively try the first alpha but there would be more fixes in the second. I just haven't confirmed what the changes are that may be missing from asfm in later alphas that may have issues matched with the later asf alphas. I'd have to compare changes in the later alphas in asfb.

@scottux
I slapped together a quick blog post about how I am using ASF with Restheart if anyone has some feedback or if needing more tutorials to ease adoption of the library. https://scottux.com/blog/restheart-angular-json-schema

Hey Guys, I am wondering if there is any way to have an multiple types of objects in the same array. I see that anyOf and oneOf aren't supported yet but is there a work around to not validate and still have them? Thanks
John Slipper
@johnslipper
Hi all, is this the place for a general question about ASF? Does anyone know of any other JSON form libraries that support the ASF "condition" property? We utilise ASF heavily but need to transition away from angularJS and it looks like the it was dropped in favour of "dependencies" (a specification thing?)
Hugo Martins
@hugoalexmartins
Hey guys, how to get value of field on template key to override template ? Tried different ways like $value$ but didn't get anything !
Hugo Martins
@hugoalexmartins

I need some urgent help.

I have this set of tables, Form, Questions, Answer

I have a form that returns me Form, Questions, Answer, for the Answer I must have an input type that comes from a type that the Question has, this type can be, True / False, Input Text or Date, I have a model that returns me 1 Form, 5 Questions and for one of them I must have an input type in Answer, in the background I have dynamic types coming from the model, some idea how I can develop this using Angular JSON Schema Forms

Hugo Martins
@hugoalexmartins
Marcel J Bennett
@Anthropic
@hugoalexmartins can you give some more info, are Form Questions, Answer separate forms or sections within the one form? You can use condition to show/hide the correct field type perhaps?
Hugo Martins
@hugoalexmartins
@Anthropic , yes of course. Questions has title for label, type (text, textarea, checkbox, etc) and Answer has a field value which is a clob, and will save the values of User input.
@Anthropic I have done something like this, with PHP and HTML, when I render the input, I just see which type is in Question and render a corresponding input, the user inputs the value and will save it in Answer.
@Anthropic for this propose will try to keep it simple, all the Questions can be in the same form or section.
Hugo Martins
@hugoalexmartins
@Anthropic the main purpose is to be able to make a dynamic form, such as a questionnaire.
Hugo Martins
@hugoalexmartins
Hey guys, is it possible to have multiple UI form same schema, like have 1 key of model in style one, and 2 key of model in style 2, the schema has an array of course
Hugo Martins
@hugoalexmartins
Hey, when have an onChange in a ui key, how to trigger a function in the ecmascript controller, this function will update schema to add new titlemaps in another key field
