@tomlane - I absolutely know that feeling. I think my jQuery talk is going to be drastically different than it is today

I love holidays - it’s basically a little calm before the storm of catching up on everything you left behind

At this point its starting to become a "screw it. I'll just write in Node" demo :sparkles:

My last slide on Friday is "Use jQuery to change the world"…
…sounds kind of like a pun, or sarcasm - but it's actually not
I'm not sure I should write slides late at night

In fact - if anyone had any ideas - https://gist.github.com/benfoxall/92a3a0ed3df45d4f6cca
this is what I've got so far… It's kind of trying to think of jQuery functions that can actually make an impact on the user (rather than just swapping round DOM nodes and tweaking css)
Anyone have ideas for better examples?

$.get('/beer');
$.map(treasure);

was thinking of things that could potentially make a difference to the user, like I guess $.post('/bar', {drink: 'beer'}).then(show('token: %s'))
(if there was a server that was giving out tokens for beer)
treasure might work
