I thought I'd take a look at it for #83 and just wondering. Am I correct that when rendering a component it only ever replaces the contents of the target DOM element and there's no way to append?

Sort of, the whole paradigm is different - you work with a stateless set of views and just describe how you want it to look, so you would never append to a Dom element, but you would add items to your data store/state

I've only ever looked at the theory behind it. Like @spikeheap says no appending just a complete refresh with a new set of data. Which ties in with the immutable.js library too. I think Ben asked about it at the React talk we had a few months back. Thats as far as I've gotten with it. :smirk:

So @spikeheap what was you thoughts with using react on the server to pre-fetch Meetup? As in pre-jekyll build or post?
