instead of a embedded server in the electron process
it communicates tasks just using the ipc connection
using process.send and process.on(‘message’)

I see, that will work also in iisnode ?

this strategy should resolve the issue on windows when the request hangs trying to reach the server

i don’t think so, because the issue with IISNODE and electron lies in the process creation
:(
but if you can try it one more time it would be perfect
also, if you can use electron@0.36.x it would be better
don’t know why but that version is a bit faster

ok I will try probably tomorrow and let you know
but as I said previously missing support for iisnode is not a big deal

no problem.... yes that would be great
I am about to release jsreport 0.12 with new features like support for storing templates in postgresql or ms sql server, completely removed nodejs domains and truly async reports.... I hope this will be appreciated by jsreport
then we can agree on the next steps what to do
but I guess the react based DaD designer will fit to you the best, I just don't know what I will do the next :)

haha finally i will play with react in jsreport :)
i think
is time to define a milestone for v1.0
that will give us the ability to handle breaking changes more nicely

yes, I will finish this release I am working on and then we do brainstorming
yes we should reach v1.0 and define milestones for it
it is anyway 2 years since the first version, that is a lot

woww you're right that is a lot, i feel like jsreport is mature enough to be v1.0 so a good excuse to v1.0 will be the ES6 re-write
