Other buttons, even plugins such as AdBlock, continue to work when removing the nav bar.
Any idea what's the reason?
Johan Venant
@jvenant
Actually, I think they don't use the same component than passff. They use a "home made" one

I guess I should open a bug on mozilla's bugtracker then

Hi there
Does anyone use passff with firefox-aurora? I always have to visit about:addons and manually disable and enable passff to show up in my UI
(and to be able to register Ctrl+Y)
Anzway how I could debug this?
Abdulsattar Mohammed
@abdulsattar
Hello, I am trying to install passff. I get this error: Component returned failure code: 0x80520006 (NS_ERROR_FILE_TARGET_DOES_NOT_EXIST) [nsIFile.isExecutable]
can anyone help me?
Johan Venant
@jvenant
Probably a mistake in the path of your shell or in the path of passff
Check the plugin preferences
Abdulsattar Mohammed
@abdulsattar
Thanks, that was the problem. I had it installed at /usr/local/bin
but there's another problem: I don't see the plugin in the bar anymore
Ctrl+Y doesn't work too
Abdulsattar Mohammed
@abdulsattar
Ok, it starts a /bin/bash process that takes up to 100% CPU. Firefox doesn't close too. I had to force quit it.
Abdulsattar Mohammed
@abdulsattar
I went through the troubleshooting notes on Github README and changed script call method to shell
it works now, but the CPU usage is still 100%
Robin
@robinvd
@dsommers how do i get passff on android?

@madduck:madduck.net I am very confused by passff :/
@madduck:madduck.net i've turned on logs, but there is nothing recorded in the console.
@madduck:madduck.net the main problem is that passff pre-fills login forms on all websites with the first set of credentials in the pwstore
@madduck:madduck.net even though I turned off autofill
@madduck:madduck.net and even though I have url:/login: fields in the files.
@madduck:madduck.net that, and ctrl-y does not work for me at all, but that's probably due to my use of vimperator/pentadactyl. it seems to work a bit better when I turn that off…
@madduck:madduck.net anyway, I'd love to use passff and I need something like this, so here's hope someone can help ;)
matrixbot
@matrixbot
@madduck:madduck.net even worse: on https://dict.leo.org/englisch-deutsch/fodder it tries to auto-submit the credentials of the first entry in the passwd store, which is completely unrelated. But it keeps submitting and submitting causing an infinite reload loop, whereas it's not even clear what form it's filling in (and autofill is off…)
matrixbot
@matrixbot
@madduck:madduck.net i have to disable this for now. :(
matrixbot
@matrixbot
@madduck:madduck.net okay, so the problem with leo was due to the fact that I didn't have any subdirectories for passwords. I didn't want any, but I switched to that layout now and that's a bit better.
@madduck:madduck.net ctrl-y still does not work with pentadactyl/vimperator
@madduck:madduck.net is this channel/room even active, or am I talking to myself?

Congratulation @nwallace, you do a very good job with passff. I'm very happy to see that you definitely bring it to the next level. :clap:

Anybody have issues with the newest version of passff (1.0)? After installation of the plugin and the native host app I get the following error:

Sorry, an unexpected error occured. Make sure your preferences are correctly set and that the native host app is installed.

Robert
@graham1228
I see this message int he debug logs of the plugin
[PassFF] Preferences initialised Object { passwordInputNames: Array[3], loginInputNames: Array[8], loginFieldNames: Array[4], passwordFieldNames: Array[3], urlFieldNames: Array[2], command: "/usr/local/bin/pass", commandArgs: Array[1], shell: "/bin/bash", shellArgs: Array[1], home: "/Users/rg014218", 10 more… } main.js:16:7 [PassFF] Error detecting GPG Agent: Error: An unexpected error occurred main.js:16:7 [PassFF] Error initializing preferences: Error: An unexpected error occurred main.js:16:7 about:blank : Unable to run script because scripts are blocked internally.
I think this issue might be related to my problem

Hi! Any clues on how to install on Windows? I can't make it work!
5bentz
@5bentz
@mberasategi Hi Berasategi! There is an issue on GitHub: passff/passff#171
Also, I have managed to install Pass and PassFF on Windows thanks to cygwin and rhlee's pull request on GitHub. You can find the PR here, with my steps to install cygwin, the dependencies, pass and PassFF: passff/passff-host#2 . It works on Window 7, so it must work on Win8/10 :)
Miren Berasategi

Thanks! Will try

anyone awake?
I keep getting this error: There was an error parsing the URL (null) from the password database. Do you want to continue anyway? Doing so may be a security risk.
happens right after I enter my pgp passphrase
