If you can do object --> string, then you can also do string --> object, and then you have a whole little RPC / DI toolkit :-)

That is a nice thought. There are, however, a number of reasons why this does not hold true. Getter properties may not have a corresponding setter. You can project types before printing and even substitute state harvesting with calling tostring() on specified types.
