    Hello,
    There is a way to automatically actualize the data(csv) of a map that is published in the flourish platform using some kind of api?

    Hello! Nice to meet everyone. I am a journalist in Kansas City and working on a "Bingo Card" under Flourish's Table visualization. When I try to download my chart, nothing on the card shows up. Any one else experience this problem?

    Hi all! I'm currently working on a Sankey Diagram (Alluvial, stepwise composition) and had a few questions... if anyone's had similar problems and have any insights, it would be most appreciated! 1) The fields on the bottom-most row of my diagram aren't showing up, even when I adjust text size, footer size, margins, etc. Any idea on how this might be fixed? 2) Is there any way to do filters on Sankey diagrams in Flourish, similar to this filter for Scatter plots: https://help.flourish.studio/article/107-how-to-create-a-scatter-plot-with-a-filter 3) I know there's a way to edit specific nodes' colors, but is there any way to modify the colors of specific flows only? For example, if there's a flow from point 2 to point 3, instead of just coloring point 3, can I make the specific flow a different color?

    Thanks so much in advance for the help!

    Hi everyone! I'm creating a map and would like for the popup info to show a link that would allow a user to enter an external link. How would I go about entering that data set so it would show up as a clickable link?

    For the bar chart template, does anyone know how to get rid of those lines on the axis? They ruin the whole visualization

    Hello! I was wondering if there is a way of maintaining or accessing the aspect ratio of a visualization when it is fetched with the oembed endpoint?

    Hi all. I cannot for the life of me get dynamic resizing of a flourish embed working as documented here: https://flourish.studio/developers/integration/
    has anyone else had this issue who might offer me some guidance? Cheers
    I can confirm via console.log() that the template is indeed firing Flourish.setHeight() but my parent app's event listener on postMessage never sees a message w/ origin Flourish and context iframe.resize
    For the record setHeight is working during template development using the Flourish SDK
    William Smith
    @wfsmith
    it appears that Flourish.setHeight() only works when you embed using the script solution, not when using the embed url in an iframe. This seems like a bug
    the workaround is to not use setHeight() and instead use your own postMessage solution:
      window.parent.postMessage(JSON.stringify({
        sender: 'Flourish',
        context: 'iframe.resize',
        method: 'resize',
        height: wrap.clientHeight,
        src: window.location.toString()
      }), '*');

    @theduncanclark
    Thanks for flagging this @wfsmith. Just to double check, you are passing a numerical value to setHeight, right?

    Hi guys, do you think I can use a google spreadsheet to send data to a custom flourish map? Because everything works (the shapes are loaded as you can see in the geometry column) but the map is pure blue (see the preview bottom right). It's a geojson problem or am I missing something?

    Hello, I am having an issue on a projection map where some popups are not populating correctly each time. I wrote HTML code that includes div tags to only bring in content when something is in the cell - popups grab the right content sometimes, but not every time I hover. There are no significant differences in my cell contents. Anyone have the same problem or a solution? It feels like it's a buggy issue.

    Hi, I am fairly new to creating my own flourish templates and trying my hand at it. I am able to create a template, set data and settings. I want to be able to modify data in the csv file by the click of a button part of template. can anyone help me with that? One way I think is to modify the csv file. To do so, can I use any available library or need to write traditional javascript code?

    I have a quest about data binding. What does the structure look like for a line chart? I have imported multiple columns but am losing the column headers. Everything is grouped together in a value array, and I’d like to group them by column and allow a varying number of columns to be imported

    I'm trying to format numbers in a custom popup. I've selected 12.345,67 but the numbers in custom popups still appear as 12,345.67. Can I fix this?

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Browse to https://public.flourish.studio/visualisation/1295580/ (linked from https://help.flourish.studio/article/139-how-to-customize-your-popups-in-the-line-bar-and-pie-template)
    2. Click "Duplicate and edit"
    3. In "Number and date formatting", change "Number formatting" to "12.345,67"
    4. Hover over the first bar

    Expected results: the popup contains 32.600
    Actual results: the popup contains 32,600

    Sorry if this is a ridiculous question but I’m trying to set the chart_layout margin. I can return the current values but can‘t work out the syntax for setting a new value. To console the values I just console.log(chart_layout.margins()) But how do I set the top margin to say to 20. I’ve tried variations on the following but can’t get any to work chart_layout.margins({top:20}) but can’t seem to get it correct
    Tim Brock
    @timbrock

    Hi @bobhaslett. Unlike most of the methods, the margins property is read-only. The values returned when you call chart_layout.margins() are calculated based on the other settings (e.g. the size and orientation of tick marks, presence or absence of axis titles, specified height and width etc etc).

    You can actually tell the chart_layout instance not to calculate one or more of these properties when you call update by passing an object with a margins property e.g. chart_layout.update({margins: {top: 20}}). (You'll have to do this every time you call update if you want it to persist.) This may or may not be useful, depending on what it is you're actually trying to do. It doesn't clip the chart to those margins and it doesn't affect the size of content contained in the margins. It just tells the instance not to calculate the given margin and just to use the value it's been given. It effectively changes the bounding box the instance thinks it takes up. This can be useful if you are trying to place multiple instances side by side with shared margins.
