@klaussinani
On login there is a "Remember me" option that you can choose, which will allow the app to preserve your login-session on re-runs : )
eshangin
@eshangin
Hi! Just installed AO on windows 8.1
@klauscfhq am I right there is no way to set custom time for reminder? https://www.screencast.com/t/C7L8rhOkd
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
@eshangin Double click the time indicator and manually edit it to your preference
eshangin
@eshangin
@klauscfhq thanks! I do not know why I missed this :)
eshangin
@eshangin
@klauscfhq just started to understand that AO is a wrapper around microsoft todo app... Is it possible to intercept Show Reminder event and change tray icon?
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
There is an option to hide the tray icon, about the event I can not think why it could not be possible
eshangin
@eshangin
@klauscfhq but how to do that? I think it would be useful. Because at the current moment in case an app is minimized we will get sound notification only. As a result reminder could be simply missed.
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
Whenever a reminder activates, a desktop notification with info about the reminder is emitted
So it is hard to miss a reminder
eshangin
@eshangin
@klauscfhq I see next notification only https://www.screencast.com/t/XrMqGwatk8
are you talking about browser notifications which look like this https://www.screencast.com/t/aI1pDnFXxI ?
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
Yep just like the one on the second link
eshangin
@eshangin
@klauscfhq actually as I understand this notifications are disabled for AO by default. At least I do not see this notifications. Also this type of notifications visible only small amount of time. So if you are not near the computer, then this notification will be also missed. I think you understand that I'm talking about same visual indication like in Skype, Slack, Telegram and others - all of this apps change tray icons
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
That is a really nice idea. The tray icon can change upon a missed/unread notification. You can open an issue/feature-request in the Github repo if you would like. I will try to deliver it as a feature on the upcoming minor release : )
eshangin
@eshangin
@klauscfhq ok, I will create feature request

@klauscfhq I made changes for #13 and have created pull request. This is first time I contribute into open source project :)

Hey guys
The snap package is returning 404.
Should I do a PR to update the README?
shamanjp
@shamanjp
I love AO, but I have an issue on MacOS 10.13.3. I run both a Mac mini and a MacBook Pro. On the mini things are great. On the MacBook Pro, AO will run once and thereafter it starts up with a blank, black screen. If I delete the folder in /Application Support and relaunch AO it runs normally once, then repeats the issue. Again, the issue only appears on the MacBook Pro., not the mini. I run Little Snitch on both machines. On the MacBook Pro, when the issue occurs, Little Snitch shows active connections allowed for AO. Thoughts?
shamanjp
@shamanjp
Referencing above from Mar 09 15:43, I've isolated the culprit to config.json. If I delete that file and allow it to be recreated, Ao runs great for one session after which the issue repeats.
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
@cbsorrilha Thank you a lot for reporting it, the link is https://snapcraft.io/ao : )
@eshangin Thank you a lot for your contribution, the PR looks awesome : )
@shamanjp Would you mind toggling the developer tools and sharing a screenshot of the console messages?
Sounds like a Electron bug on Macos, regardless of it the new release of Ao will include the latest version of Electron which could possible resolve the issue
shamanjp
@shamanjp
Screenshot 2018-03-25 19.16.58.png
@klauscfhq The console is empty. Perhaps the elements will give you a clue as to where it's getting stuck.
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
@shamanjp This is really weird, my only guess is that the app loads a broken URL to the Microsoft ToDo webapp instead of the right one, thus the blank screen
You can retry completely uninstalling the app, removing all the leftover config files from your apps directory and then reinstall using the dmg file from Github

@Gr3yShad0w
Hello Guys
So I recently started using Ao, I notice when I have a List lets say I make a List of my ToDo's and I order them in List for example: Week 17, Week 18 .... And I want to choose "My Today" it shows me the entries Double ( Once in all the To Do's and once in Week 16) is it a problem from my side or is just not a feature?
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
@Gr3yShad0w Hmm, do you encounter the same behavior when using the original web version? todo.microsoft.com/?app
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
@/ll New release v5.5.0 is out! :tada:
Gr3yShad0w
@Gr3yShad0w
@klauscfhq When I move the To-Do's to the list in the Web-Version, it deletes it from the Main To-Do list. I tried it again on the App, and it worked. I guess it was a one time bug or something xD. Maybe it's was an Ubuntu Bug (they have alot xD)
Dan Haddix
@Dan203

@klauscfhq Any chance you could add Desktop Notification support for reminders? I tested a ToDo with a reminder and I can hear the little sound, even when it's running the background (Windows 10), but I can't actually see what the reminder is until I pull up the app. Electron has a desktop notification API built in...

https://electronjs.org/docs/tutorial/notifications

if you can detect reminders and convert them to desktop notifications that would be awesome. Bonus points if you can add support for Snooze, Mark as complete, to the notifications. :smile:

Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
@Dan203 The feature is scheduled and will be available soon, probably in the upcoming release. Thank you for taking the time to suggest it though : )

@daniellimwaikiat
Hi my screens blank after booting up AO. I've tried reinstalling multiple times with and without admin rights still blank
daniellimwaikiat
@daniellimwaikiat
Nvm found the solution. When uninstalling delete the cache files as well. It is stored in the AppData/Local and AppData/Roaming. Then reinstall

@daniellimwaikiat
Hey guys anyone know how to remove the office app bar at the top of the windows, above the search bar?

@scporse
Is it currently possible to change time setting to 24h instead of 12h AM/PM and have the calendar display weeks as monday-sunday, instead of sunday-saturday?

@Kenya-West

Hello! Microsoft To-Do doesn't have dedicated API, you need to use Microsoft Outlook Tasks API.

Which API does this program use?

Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
@Kenya-West Ao is build on top of https://todo.microsoft.com/?app using https://electronjs.org thus it does use any of Microsoft's APIs 🙂
