@/all New version 1.1.0 is out :tada:
Maxim
@mxmzb
is there a simple way to just use signale as a drop in replacement for the usual terminal log? i am not sure if i really want to write a custom logger for this.
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
@mxmzb yep, since 1.1.0 the signale.log() logger, that behaves the same as console.log(), is available : )

@jordrake
In a similar vein to the above, would you welcome a PR which adds a stream property to the type object which lets you override stream at a type-level? so that error types could go to process.stderr
one nasty thing about that approach though is that 'types' is no longer 100% serializable to the package.json but if thats an issue i can just create some string to stream mapping
Brett Beutell
@brettimus
@jordrake maybe you could write a plugin / wrapper that does this on top of a signale instance?
I'm experimenting with ways to add hooks around the loggers, since I wanted to be able to filter out certain log levels depending on a threshold. seems like these kinds of hooks could also be used to make a logger use a different stream maybe?
I'll share a gist once I clean up what I've been doing :sparkles:

@klauscfhq Hi Klaus, what’s that nice console in the Signale docs?
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
@rjoydip Yep, indeed it would be an interesting addition : )
@djibarian It's the Hyper terminal running the hyperocean theme

A huge thank you to all the supporters and contributors for their help! It would not be possible without you all! ❤

Hey I have a question is there a way that I stream the Signale messages via Sockets to a webpage and take over the color styling
Joydip Roy
@rjoydip
@xJoeyv I think there is no way right not.

@saswatds
Hey, any timeline for the next release? Waiting for it so that I can start using it in a project which needs to support node v6.
tortilaman
@tortilaman
Is there a way to specify how deep a Signale will go when printing an object with the %O notation?
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
@tortilaman Unfortunately, Signale uses util.format(format[, ...args]) under the hood, thus the full object is printed without the non-enumerable properties & proxies.
@/all New release 1.4.0, introducing lots of new features and fixes, is now out!🎉
A huge thank you to everyone for taking the time to contribute & help!

Hi community, is this project actively maintained?
Mex Delgado
@rudemex
hi
I just uploaded a pull request for a small enhancement in the code, where in addition to printing the file name, it also prints the line of code.
in my case it is very important to be able to return the error line, since I have an orchestrator and I need to know which line I log in dynamically without having to add it to the message
Klaus Sinani
@klaussinani
The project is still active and will always be :)
