I'm curious, is there a reason running node run doesn't build the main.js and move it to the distilled folder?

Damn this gitter android client is unusable 😠. Hi, did anybody migrated to webpack v2? I'm experiencing issues with npm run build, however it's absolutely OK if executed with debug flag. The error is in promise inside of bundle command.
Aman Kubanychbek
@code4aman
^ it was a webpack config issue.

@terndrup
Hey guys, have any of you had issues with the starter kit in IE / Edge? When I try to run my application it just says '$ is not defined' - as if some of the webpack dependency loading fails
A Test
@atwitest_twitter
Hi! How does it compare to https://reactjs.net ?

@omarsiddiqi
hey fellas wondering if anyone can help me understand my issue.
deployed the app to azure
using local git

but it gives me a HTTP Error 502.5 - Process Failure

Common causes of this issue:

The application process failed to start
The application process started but then stopped
The application process started but failed to listen on the configured port

what am i doing wrong?
any hellp will be appreciated. '
A Test
@atwitest_twitter
Hi @omarsiddiqi this might help aspnet/IISIntegration#252
Jeppe Terndrup
@terndrup
have any of you tested it on .NET Core 1.1.1? It seems to fail to load the .net core project properly and returns an Specify a project or solution file
1.0.1* sorry

@koistya
@terndrup not yet, will try to update to the latest .NET Core version soon, or you can help and send a PR

@TanerYavuzCybercom
In case you run into issues with building with latest commit, add <RuntimeIdentifier>coreclr<RuntimeIdentifier> to PropertyGroup of server.csproj

@TanerYavuzCybercom
Running node run publish deploys successfully, but doesnt include .NET files, only the default files when downloading the repo
TanerYavuzCybercom
@TanerYavuzCybercom
Has anybody tried "node run publish" since last commit?

Guys, hello! Sorry for my question, he may look pretty stupid, but I need to understand. Does aspnet-starter-kit became obsolete against react-create-app stack?
Or it uses same webpack/hot reload/etc things as fb boilerplate?
Konstantin Tarkus
@koistya
@flcl42 aspnet-starter-kit is more about back-end part, you can combine that back-end approach with create-react-app on the front-end (though, create-react-app doesn't support server-side rendering, it will be purely a single-page app (SPA)
Alexey
@flcl42
OK, got it, ty

Georgios Diamantopoulos
@georgiosd
morning folks
reactjs newbie here - just downloaded the aspnet startet kit (fantastic work!) - what's the preferred way to scaffold components?
Konstantin Tarkus
@koistya
@georgiosd I personally like to use VS Code templates for scaffolding
Andreas Savva
@andreassavva
Hey, really cool project, thanks for that! How do I load a "loading" page while the client is working on fetching data from server?
Konstantin Tarkus
@koistya
@andreassavva for that you may want to fetch data inside "componentDidMount()"
Andreas Savva
@andreassavva
yes, so the routes in router.json are to be used to fetch data that is needed before loading the page?
Andreas Savva
@andreassavva
I meant, the data in the routes, not the routes themselves
Konstantin Tarkus
@koistya
@andreassavva yep, if you need data before rendering, it makes sense to fetch that at routing level, if some data needs to be fetched at some later stage, it's better to do it inside componentDidMount()

@Dhallagan
Hey, working on VS17 and my browser comes up with a blank screen. I looked like the API is working, so I imagine there's an issue with React Dependencies. Does this make sense? Currently, my solution files only show the server, and server.test directories.
In addition, I went into VS Code and launched from there. re npm intall'd like it was a new project, but same thing.
Josh Williams
@jackjwilliams
Domt suppose there is a non redux version of this kit anywhere?
Dhallagan
@Dhallagan
@jackjwilliams what are you looking for
Dhallagan
@Dhallagan
There's probably a fork out there
Josh Williams
@jackjwilliams
I guess I'm just looking for a less opinionated starter kit. I'm rather new to react, and tend to get bogged down with all the fluff.
But your kit does look amazing! I like it's organization. Once I better understand the ecosystem I will likely give it another go.
Jeppe Terndrup
@terndrup
I know its early days but have any of you guys gotten the kit to work with .NET Core 2.0 ?
ThunderDev1
@ThunderDev1
Hi @Dhallagan I'm also getting a blank screen. Where you able to solve the problem ? Thanks
Jeppe Terndrup
@terndrup
Have any of you updated the boilerplate to React 16? I just gave it a go yesterday and while it seems to work fine in Chrome and FireFox, in IE11 it fires an error regarding the way that the components are passed to the Provider
i.e. in main.js we pass the component as an object to the <Provider store={store}>{component}</Provider> component, and in doing so apparently violate some invariant type constraint that react 16 imposes
