re: north east England - we (ThoughtWorks) had some people intermittently working in Darlington, but I think it's all dried up by now. There were smidgeons of clojure on that project...
otfrom @otfrom vageuely remembers someone posting on a clojure list recently looking for other NE England people to meet with, but can't find the post.

@otfrom I didn't realise you are from east friesland!!
There are some Clojurians in Sheffield. Not quite north enough though.
(for you at least, for me anything past Andover is "up north")

I'm in Wolverton - feels like North when you have to commute to London every day

@thomas-shares I think I'm from the bit of Yorkshire that avoided the Anglo Saxons and the Vikings. Difficult to tell though.
otfrom @otfrom wonders how to let the clojure bridge alumi know that there is a dojo before all the tix sell out

@otfrom interesting... because if you go to the very north west of Germany people also say moin moin.

I have a friend from north-west Germany, he claims to be Frisian as well. (I'm half Frisian)

With a name like Sietsma you have to be Frisian ;)
(I am from Groningen, between Friesland and east Friesland)

@thomas-shares I say moin moin as I like certain implementations of wikis in python

My grandfather's family came from Oudega, near Drachten; but I was born in Australia so it's all pretty theoretical. And I had a moin moin wiki for years, never knew it was a cultural link - thanks @otfrom for this important factoid.
