@dan-passaro Somewhat. What it does is treat the .css file as if it is a .less file, despite the extension.
@lasercar Not like that, but you can write a mixin that effectively does the same thing.
@import (reference) "file.css" is not valid for CSS, since the contents of a CSS file does not import by default (into the Less context). BUT you can write @import (reference, less) "file.css" to treat a CSS file as a Less file and also import by reference.
