Hi, why are even some servers banned from joining librewolf-community?

This is sadly the cringiest method of preventing spam
My librewolf.overrides.cfg file is not working, Librewolf launches without applying those options. I also looked for similar Issues on GitLab but there were none. Syntax and file location is also correct. I also reinstalled using chocolatey and winget. Nothing works, even the user.js file in the root profile path.
I also don't know at this point what I can debug and send, if someone can help me there it would be really appreciated.

Oh I was able to find this when launching librewolf locally with .\librewolf.exe -console:

I'm not able to find older versions on Chocolatey or Winget
I could install older versions manually but at least a few versions should be available for a possible downgrade for situations like these. Maybe it's not your fault I could be wrong

Same issue after freshly installing 108.0.2-1, this time the console only says:

you risk corrupting your profile if you downgrade, I would just wait for a new update tbh. I don't know when we first introduced that regression but anyway I do not recommend a downgrade, sorry about the inconvenience.

I think the banlists we use use server bans very conservatively and only if the whole server is used for spamming or similar

I had to open an account specifically for this issue, since gitlab is not good for privacy at all (so isn't matrix, but not much choice here)

i had to reinstall my os (im on debian now) and so my apps, librewolf being one of them.

im having this weird issue where i can't scan qr codes appearing on the screen with my phone. it wasn't happening before.

anyone has any idea what's up?

but i can scan any other qr code that's not on librewolf

Hello, using librewolf 109.0-1 osx. Netflix I get F7121-1331. Do I need to disable RFP for it to work ? Tested videos on news sites and most work however on cnn and amazon prime it gets stuck on lower bitrate, is there a workaround for that ?

Hello, what about using librewolf with trocker addon? is it necessary or uBO can do same job than trocker? Trocker is an email tracker tracker blocker. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/trockerapp/

I think uBO (and maybe even the enhanced fingerprinting protection built in to LibreWolf) can do the same thing, but it all depends on whether you use your browser for email.
Most FOSS email clients hide images by default, and uBO will block most tracking urls

privacy badger probably isn't going to get better than ublock origin (they stopped dynamic blocking by default because that was fingerprintable)

  1. Will all my settings be preserved mainly LibreWolf settings menu?
  2. Will all my settings be preserved in the about:config menu?
  3. Is there in version 109.0-1 menu/password manager, which is in version 99.0.1-3 ?

I've even uninstalled then reinstalled LibreWolf, and my configuration was still there. It's stored separately from the app itself

Yep, it is not only presented as that though, for pterodacyl panel console, the text will be garbled as a result of canvas blocking as well, so canvas blocking issues can take many forms

Hi, I went to your site and then to Gitlab looking for a way to donate and ended up poking around your repo looking at issues and merge requests. Regarding https://gitlab.com/librewolf-community/settings/-/merge_requests/53#note_1251570559 - That might be a good compromise, but please don't add Google, Bing or any of Firefox's other default engines you omitted. Besides, anyone who wants to use Google should just use Startpage. It now provides better, more relevant results than Google does.
