To be really honest, I'm not a fan of Gitter, and in this room I can't add Melody as a Moderator :/

So my vote would actually go towards "screw that, let's drop this one and just stick to the other one instead" – the only upside of the gitter-stuff would be the ability to connect to a repo, which doesn't make a lot of sense for the off-topic channel anyway ^^
