    Welcome to liferay-docs chat!
    Jesse Rao
    @jrao
    Excellent! Now we have Zulip, Slack, and Gitter!
    Cody Hoag
    @codyhoag
    Cool! I've heard Gitter doesn't have a restriction on messages. That would be nice

    Hello folks
    Rich Sezov
    @sez11a
    Yeah; I joined this a week or so ago; liked it better than Slack, and then Ray today archived his blade Slack channel and brought it here.
    Jesse Rao
    @jrao
    yes, Slack's message limit is real handicap
    Rich Sezov
    @sez11a
    So I figured, it's free, it integrates well with Github; why not use it?
    Cody Hoag
    @codyhoag
    Yep, I've poked around a little this morning. I like it so far
    Jesse Rao
    @jrao
    Engineering isn't thinking of jumping ship from Slack to Gitter, are they?
    Rich Sezov
    @sez11a
    Jorge says they're "officially testing" Gitter. I think it's the 10,000 message limit that's the issue.
    Michael Williams
    @mwilliams2014

    Didn't realize slack had a limit

    I like the support of markdown in the chat
    Rich Sezov
    @sez11a
    Yeah, it's quite nice
    Cody Hoag
    @codyhoag
    Yeah; Markdown support is really nice
    Michael Williams
    @mwilliams2014
    Well played Sir

    The Github emoticons will be awesome to use too! :goberserk: :godmode:

    @sez11a
    Okay; I just added the badge to our README file.
    This is how good the Gitter integration with Github is: liferay/liferay-docs#130
    Cody Hoag
    @codyhoag
    nice!
    Russell Bohl
    @rbohl
    These gitter rooms are public, correct?
    Just confirmed by navigating here with Chrome, where I'm not signed in. So just keep that in mind.
    Rich Sezov
    @sez11a
    You should've gotten signed in automatically through GitHub.
    Russell Bohl
    @rbohl
    Yeah, what I'm saying though, is that the conversation can be viewed by anyone, even when not loggedin to github. I couldn't post when not loggedin, but I could see the whole converasation. Conversely, trying to navigate to the liferayeng part of slack without being loggedin did not work. These are public chat rooms in gitter.
    Rich Sezov
    @sez11a
    Yeah; that's because it's tied to an open repository (liferay-docs).
    Other rooms would be private
