@zoli@erbridge Will you both try limetext using the go16 branches of gopy and qml-go and see if you can get it to crash or do something weird? Also review the pull requests?
@thewhitetulip You are welcome to try them as well

@ricochet1k Nice job.

Go 1.7: Packages and binaries built using cgo have in past releases produced different output on each build, due to the embedding of temporary directory names. When using this release with new enough versions of GCC or Clang (those that support the -fdebug-prefix-map option), those builds should finally be deterministic.
Yay! No more rebuilding all of qml-go every time!
Suraj Patil
@thewhitetulip
@ricochet1k have you merged the go16 branch?
Matt Peterson
@ricochet1k
Nope. It still needs a little work.

@thewhitetulip
In limetext, as far as the frontend is concerned there sre only four to five objects, right?
Sidebar, menubar, editor etc
Matt Peterson
@ricochet1k
Erm... What do you mean? Why do you ask?
Suraj Patil
@thewhitetulip
Because I am trying to understand how desktop apps are
When we write webapps, we have front end, divs spans etc
Go build system with file watchers, live reload and output streams. Run, build and watch file changes with custom paths http://tockins.github.io/realize/

Anyone online?
I am using ST3 to get a hang of it, and one thing I find annoying is that you can't create folders using the menu. You have to create folders outside, in the terminal for them to get reflected.
we will be having create file/folder functionality in Lime right?
Also for the package manager, we can use the package control, it is awesome.
Suraj Patil
@thewhitetulip
oh, I found the trick, you have to right click on the existing folder for that menu to pop up, we can add it to default right click on the sidebar in lime
This is great, can we make a list of such plugins which provide more functionality to the existing text editor and ship them by default? ST3's sidebar isn't that great, you can't drag files into folders and stuff etc.
or rather, can we ship plugins like this directly in Lime?
Felix Laurie von Massenbach
@erbridge
All plugins fit that description...
Suraj Patil
@thewhitetulip
Well, there are a few like this one which everyone would use
others are specific to personal tastes, a powerful sidebar = better power to dev
so we can make a list of generic plugins like this, I'd nominate packagecontrol.io too
