    just to rule out binding problem
    Ananth Durai
    @ananthdurai_twitter
    sure, I believe by default it take the ip address. Let me give it another try
    Kishore Gopalakrishna
    @kishoreg

    Ananth Durai
    @ananthdurai_twitter
    no success. getting the same exception. I will try to loop in ops folks to see any network issue.
    I see in the logs
    Invalid cluster setup, missing znode path: /zookeeper/IDEALSTATES Invalid cluster setup, missing znode path: /zookeeper/CONFIGS/CLUSTER/zookeeper Invalid cluster setup, missing znode path: /zookeeper/CONFIGS/PARTICIPANT is confusing. why do Helix scan all the nodes in zookeeper? is it a known behavior?

    @ananthdurai_twitter Managed to reproduce your issue, turns out the binary build on GitHub was broken due to a dirty build directory. This can also happen if the build included the #2177 commit without doing a mvn clean

    @mcvsubbu I work on the Pravega project (pravega.io) and would like to contribute to issue-2583 (generic streams support). Would you be willing to get on a brief chat to sync up?
    Kishore Gopalakrishna
    @kishoreg
    @EronWright that would be great. which streaming source are you planning to support?. Also feel free to start the conversation on github or google mailing list.
    Eron Wright
    @EronWright
    @kishoreg Pravega is the streaming source. I see that some initial steps have been taken (#2606), but could someone update #2583 with an overall checklist and some hints as to roadmap? Assumedly a plugin interface will be introduced, and I'm keen to test it out.

    @mcvsubbu
    @EronWright I will update the issue with a list of things to do. The first few are straight-forward re-factoring, I believe.
    Let us take the discussion on to the issue, if you don't mind;

    Merged also reformat PR: apache/incubator-pinot#3739
    In case your current working branch has conflict with this one (which is very likely), to resolve conflict after rebasing on this change:

    • For any conflict, pick the change in your branch
    • Reformat the file using IntelliJ after all conflicts resolved

    From now on, please follow the Pinot Style introduced in PR: apache/incubator-pinot#3705
    When reformatting enum, be cautious because sometimes the result is not what we expected (Mac and Linux IntelliJ seems to have different behavior)
