poetrynow working - removed that distro package;
poetry updatefailed for
pygobjectand advised installing distro package
libgirepository1.0-dev- now completes.
poetry run linux-show-playernow does the job. Does this dev package need adding to the build deps list in the wiki?
/usr/lib/python3.10/site-packages, dependencies should be installed as separated packages. This may depends on the distro, Debian use a different folder to avoid conflicts between pip and their packages.
pip install . --no-deps --root ./build --ignore-installedto get the files you need, without dependencies, those should be packaged separately, but I'll suggest to look how it's done by other python packages for the target distro.
poetry.lockfile, or use
poetry show --no-dev --treewhich might be more helpful than looking at the raw lockfile
