Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
get I get all the infos (url, listname and item name) from the sharepoint site?
Craig Buchanan
@craibuc
I can't access that page for some reason.
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
it's intranet
Craig Buchanan
@craibuc
Ah
duh, craig
I don't understand the question.
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
I do not know where to get "listName" from
Craig Buchanan
@craibuc
Our implementation of SharePoint includes 'lists'.
Default interface looks like a spreadsheet
Each list has a name.
For example 'requests'
http://apps/Requests/_vti_bin/listdata.svc/Requests(1234)/ will return a single list item, #1234
In this case, the list's name is 'Requests'.
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
got it.
didn't get where to get the name "Requests" from
Craig Buchanan
@craibuc
BTW, I just pushed the latest draft of PsSharePoint.
Still needs a lot of work, but Get-ListItem, Add-Attachments, and Get-PropertyValue should work.
I have more functions to add, but I'm still refactoring code.
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
Is your sharepoint in the internet?
Craig Buchanan
@craibuc
No. Intranet only.
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
Hey craig.
thanks for updating the unit tests
do you think it's worth releasing 1.1.1 to update the unit tests?
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
Hey there.
As I am not an English native speaker, I would appreciate some review on the wiki. :-)
Bryan Lockwood
@bklockwood
Oliver, I read the wiki section https://github.com/lipkau/PsIni/wiki/Get-IniContent ... it's very good. I wish everyone documented this well.
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
Thanks.
Fell free to contribute :-)
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
Craig, are you in PowerShell.Slack yet?
Bryan Lockwood
@bklockwood
Oliver, how difficult do you think it would be to make an Out-JsonFile function?
(not asking you to make one, just curious how hard you think that would be ... )
Bryan Lockwood
@bklockwood
hmm, maybe unnecessary. I'm fooling with " Get-IniContent .\PSPerf.ini | ConvertTo-Json -Depth 10| out-file -FilePath .\experiment.json " ... and it seems to be working.
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
Convertto-json should do it. Although it's available since v3 and PsIni is v2 and newer
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
Hi guys. Please comment for #22
Alexis Côté
@popojargo
What's your opinion on the issue I created?
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
Hey. I have merged your PR
Alexis Côté
@popojargo
@lipkau Thanks!

Hi Oliver, I finally got some time to make that change you requested regarding the delimiters, and I also updated the wiki.
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
I saw that. I am currently on vacation in Miami and don't have the time to look into it. But the overview I got by mail looks really good. Nice job!
Thanks
seanjseymour
@seanjseymour
Great! Enjoy your vacation and talk to you later.
Luca
@LucWollff_twitter
Hello, somebody online and here to help me with the Get-Inicontent function?
Luca
@LucWollff_twitter

So my problem is, i have an ini like:
[Test]
GeneralText = "2"
GeneralText = "3"
GeneralText = "4"
GeneralText = "5"

now i want to get 'GeneralText = "2"' 'into GeneralText = "5050"' how can i seperate them , or is that even possible?

Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
I am sorry, but having the same key multiple times is not a valid ini file (and not supported by PSIni)
Luca
@LucWollff_twitter
Mh... Okay thanks anyways. You got some ideas how to write in an ini file with the same named keys?
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
You can put them in different sections
Luca
@LucWollff_twitter
That will not work because im gonna use the ini file for an programm, so it will not work bc of an different section name or?
Craig Buchanan
@craibuc
Oliver, how was Oktoberfest?
Oliver Lipkau
@lipkau
It was great!
2 times out of 4 I did not drink too much!
Craig Buchanan
@craibuc
Next year!
