@edstjohn
Yes sorry 5.6. Was not really paying attention to the compiler sorry aha
Trying to install a vs addin now, I'll see if it works
Ed St John
@edstjohn
I can't find the path for the QT versions when setting the addin up in VS?

Pierre Jacquier
@pierremtb
Where did you install Qt?
Ed St John
@edstjohn
C:\Program Files (x86)\QT
Pierre Jacquier
@pierremtb
Can't you use this path ?
Ed St John
@edstjohn
Working now, but it comes up with loads of errors when I press build - "Qt5Widgets.dll is missing", "Qt5WebEngined.dll is missing", "Qt5Guid.dll is missing", "Qt5Qmld.dll is missing"
Ed St John
@edstjohn
Do you know how to fix this?
Pierre Jacquier
@pierremtb
Mmh that's weird
The main problem is that I don't have Windows accessible ATM, so I can't reproduce it
Guillem Arias
@gariasf
This active tho?
Pierre Jacquier
@pierremtb
@SpeedArt What do you mean ?
Guillem Arias
@gariasf
@pierremtb Sorry, i meant, is liri browser development still active?
Cuz it looks a bit frozen to me
And I have some serious visual glitches
Pierre Jacquier
@pierremtb
@SpeedArt I was about to post something about that. The project is far away from being dead. We are very busy atm with other stuff, but we are also disussing a lot on choices we have to make (like QtQuick Controls 2 for example) to go in the best direction, without wasting too much time with refactoring. So the project is still very active, more internally than publicly though. Updates will come, I promise :D
Guillem Arias
@gariasf
Okay, it's really nice to hear that
Btw I finished translating all strings of catalan on transifex
It's one of my native languages and i've tries to make tha translations in context so i guess they're all right
Pierre Jacquier
@pierremtb
Perfect, thanks :clap:

Hi mates. I am getting some errors when trying to build latest liri-music:
g++ -Wl,-O1 -Wl,-O1,--sort-common,--as-needed,-z,relro -o liri-vinyl main.o utilities.o qrc_qml.o moc_albumobject.o moc_artistobject.o moc_musicfolders.o moc_utilities.o   -ltag -lQt5Quick -lQt5Gui -lQt5Qml -lQt5Network -lQt5Sql -lQt5Core -lGL -lpthread
main.o: In function `getAllSongs(QSqlDatabase)':
main.cpp:(.text+0x16df): undefined reference to `vtable for SongObject'
main.cpp:(.text+0x1a4d): undefined reference to `vtable for SongObject'
moc_albumobject.o: In function `AlbumObject::getSong()':
moc_albumobject.cpp:(.text._ZN11AlbumObject7getSongEv[_ZN11AlbumObject7getSongEv]+0x705): undefined reference to `vtable for SongObject'
moc_artistobject.o: In function `ArtistObject::getSong()':
moc_artistobject.cpp:(.text._ZN12ArtistObject7getSongEv[_ZN12ArtistObject7getSongEv]+0x565): undefined reference to `vtable for SongObject'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Makefile:151: recipe for target 'liri-vinyl' failed
make: *** [liri-vinyl] Error 1
Any hints?
Qt is at 5.6.0, and qml-material at 0.2.0.
Zachary Grafton
@zacharygrafton
Cmake build or qmake?
It looks like the project isn'the running moc on the song.h file. Also, are you building from master or develop?
Felix Yan
@felixonmars
@zacharygrafton I am using a qmake build, and building from master.
I didn't notice that there's a develop branch :P I'll try it now.
Felix Yan
@felixonmars
Wow the develop branch builds just fine with cmake. I still cannot get playback to work though. Thanks for the hint!
Zachary Grafton
@zacharygrafton
@felixonmars The development branch is under really heavy construction. I don't think playback works for me either.
Felix Yan
@felixonmars
OK :)

@ExhibitArts
Can someone help me install Liri-Browser on Ubuntu.

@ExhibitArts what's the problem?

@timsueberkrueb
Hi @plfiorini :)
Pier Luigi Fiorini
@plfiorini
any reason why liri player uses vlc rather than QtMultimedia?
Nick Germaine
@nickgermaine
@zacharygrafton & @felixonmars I think the last time I was in the project, playback was working for me. Mind you that was on linux, with gstreamer good, bad and ugly plugins. I tried the other day to pull to my Mac and the material subproject wouldn't init right. I'll give it another go.
Actually, I just reinstalled arch on my laptop so I can check it out there. It's easier to set the project up on linux
Nick Germaine
@nickgermaine
Yeah I just built it on Linux and it works. Need good bad and ugly plugins and qt5gstreamer. and tag lib I think still. By the way can't get qt5gstreamer on macOS?
If anyone knows how, let me know
Pier Luigi Fiorini
@plfiorini
@nickgermaine not macOS specific but qt5-gstreamer needs boost as far as I know, check if you have it installed
Nick Germaine
@nickgermaine
Yeah I got that. I think it's the compiler.. Because cmake command runs fine, but the make command fails about 15% through compilation saying unknown type name 'QTGLIB_EXPORT'
After running this: cmake .. -DCMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=/Users/nickgermaine/Qt/5.7/clang_64/lib/cmake -DQT_VERSION=5 -DCMAKE_CXX_COMPILER=/usr/local/Cellar/gcc/6.2.0/bin/g++-6
using the g++ installed via brew, and not the obsolete 4.2 that apple ships with. I get this:
