Make sure your cpu stays below 80% if it peaks up your encoding might already get stressed to much and will drop frames
I am working on a project that needs live streaming integration with blockchain . When i googled the matter the first thing that came up was livepeer.org .Can anyone help ?Atleast can anyone point me a file or package that contains the implementation or related code . Thanks in advance
No p2p cdn functionality in livepeer today but it is coming
@AMARAKA_twitter Hello. There is really not much you need to do get a VPS up and running Livepeer. What I do is install Ubuntu 16.04.4 server, update && upgrade. Then get the latest Livepeer executable from https://github.com/livepeer/go-livepeer/releases Untar the file, change directory to livepeer_linux and run the following command: ../livepeer -rinkeby -v 6
@AMARAKA_twitter Forgot one little thing. Before you broadcast, you need to get you some ether. Use twitter and send a tweet with yout Eth address in the body of the tweet, then Go to https://faucet.rinkeby.io/ and insert the tweet url you just did and choose 18.75 ethers. Let me know when you have completed these steps.
@AMARAKA_twitter Livepeer does not support native WebRTC at this time. However you can always use OBS to broadcast a webrtc stream, into the livepeer network. I'm not sure about load balancing? I think Livepeer does load balancing by default, @ericxtang ?
@ericxtang I want to implement a reactive blockchain client that is based on a live streaming API as most of them use JSON-RPC which is often a push/pull one.
I came to know that livepeer uses a livestreaming API on blockchains so I want to see the implementation . Can you help me? @ericxtang
I want event streaming and thanks for the links . Cheers
:+1: We're focused on video here. For what it's worth, you can monitor the blockchain for events. The go-livepeer code integrates with geth and the event log for that, so might be a helpful reference to learn from.
