    Hey. Does "Static Website" setup in CloudFormation works, or am I forced to set settings manually?

    Hi. I'm tracking this weird issue I can't get to the bottom of:
    I have a Lambda function written in python that creates a EBS volume. When invoke this function, it seems to go through: I get the volume ID and can call describe_volumes. But if I point the CLI to localstack and try to describe volumes, I don't see it.
    It's like the lambda would be creating the volume in some dedicated environment.
    Has anyone ever seen smotething like this?

    it's solved now. I was looking at a wrong zone

    anyone have luck running localstack in a local kubernetes solution like minikube or microk8s?
    i’ve gotten things to the point where i can create resources, but apigateway and lambda fail to execute
    i have a service in front of the localstack deployment, mapping 32567 to 4567 on the pod, but i get this error trying to post to apigateway botocore.exceptions.EndpointConnectionError: Could not connect to the endpoint URL: "http://192.168.64.2:4567/restapis/bj68th9s0l/authorizers?limit=100”
    192.168.64.2 is the microk8s machine
    i’ve tried setting an env var of - name: APIGATEWAY_PORT_EXTERNAL value: “32567”
    but that doesn’t seem to have any effect when it’s there or not
    for lambda invocations, they complain about the docker socket Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at unix:///var/run/docker.sock. Is the docker daemon running?

    Hi all! I'm trying to use the CloudFormation functionality and whenever I try and do aws cloudformation delete-stack --stack-name mystackname it fails and I get this error on the localstack console:
    botocore.exceptions.ClientError: An error occurred (ValidationError) when calling the ListStackResources operation: Stack with id mystackname does not exist
    Any suggestions as to what I might need to do?
    I've also tried using the StackID I get from running aws cloudformation list-stacks and got the same response
    Benno Rice
    @jeamland
    Huh. It appears to work when running on host and fail when running in Docker.

    Aaaaah. I have my default region set to ap-southeast-2. The region for my request is not making it through into the internal calls to the CloudFormation service.

    Hi! I've been trying to use localstack and serverless together, and I've run into an issue; localstack seems to start up fine (I can aws --endpoint-url=http://localhost:4572 s3 mb s3://demo-bucket successfully, for example) but I've tried using the simple serverless example https://github.com/serverless/examples/tree/master/aws-node-upload-to-s3-and-postprocess (which deploys one Lambda js handler) along with the localstack-serverless plugin, and serverless deploy seems to partially work and then errors with Unable to determine service/operation name to be authorized. I don't know where to look to debug this...

    Hi, I'm new to localstack so I need some help. I tried to pull the latest image using docker pull localstack/localstack on ubuntu 16.04
    Now when I try to run localstack start or localstack start --docker it says ready also localstack shows running in output of this command: docker ps.
    I'm able to use the commands without any error but when I open localhost:8055 It doesn't work also when I'm using SNS and SQS even then SNS is not publishing to the subscribed endpoint even though the endpoint is correct. It seems like a problem with my installation. In my old laptop, I did an installation using pip install localstack then also I had to do some configuration but after that, it worked fine. Can someone help so that I can use this on my new laptop as well?

    Good afternoon- I am trying to use Ansible with localstack . However, everytime I try to run a playbook (for example, creating an IAM user), I get an error An error occurred (InvalidClientTokenId) when calling the GetUser operation: The security token included in the request is invalid
    This also occurs when I use the awslocal utility

    Hi there,
    Does anybody have experience with localstack + Terraform?
    I want to create simple local s3 bucket via localstack using Terraform v0.12.18.
    I run localstack in docker

    docker run -d -p 8088:8088 -p "4563-4589":"4563-4589" -e SERVICES="dynamodb,s3,iam" -e DATA_DIR=/tmp/localstack/data -e PORT_WEB_UI=8088 -e HOST_TMP_FOLDER=/tmp/localstack -e DOCKER_HOST=unix:///var/run/docker.sock -v :/tmp/localstack -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock localstack/localstack-full:latest

    TF:
    provider "aws" {
    profile = var.aws_profile
    region = var.aws_region
    s3_force_path_style = true
    secret_key = "mock_secret_key"
    skip_credentials_validation = true
    skip_metadata_api_check = true
    skip_requesting_account_id = true
    endpoints {
    s3 = "http://localhost:4566"
    }
    }

    When try to provision a simple s3 bucket:
    Error: error getting S3 Bucket location: timeout while waiting for state to become 'success' (timeout: 2m0s)

    if use terraform in docker:
    Error: Error creating S3 bucket: RequestError: send request failed
    caused by: Put "http://localhost:4566/my-tf-test-bucket": dial tcp 127.0.0.1:4566: connect: connection refused

    At the same time aws cli works fine with localstack and I can create local resources

    Hi all. Just like to say I'm loving using Localstack, it's been great so far. The only problem I'm having is adding SQS to my localstack config. It seems to run forever on the tests and the only "error" I can find in the logs (enabling DEBUG=1) is as follows:

    2020-11-13T13:11:01:INFO:localstack.services.edge: Unable to find forwarding rule for host "55f5def423ef:4566", path "/", target header "", auth header "", data "b''"

    Has anyone seen this before? A quick google search pops up issues that have been "solved", but I'm still seeing this problem on 0.12.2

    Hi, does localstack support gcm as platform in sns create-platform-application method https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cli/latest/reference/sns/create-platform-application.html?

    This is hopefully a silly question, but how can I actually see useful logs from Localstack? I can get startup log details with DEBUG=1, but no matter what I put for LS_LOG, nothing further is emitted even as I'm interacting with with the services. I'm on 0.12.6.1. Thanks in advance.

    Hi everybody ! I wans wondering does anyone succeed to run aws lambda behind api gateway without the APIGatewayProxyResponse in handler ? (I used golang for my handler) thanks :)
    Christopher Maier
    @christophermaier
    Hrmm... wonder if I'm running into something similar. I've been trying to get APIGateway working with lambdas running as AWS_PROXY integrations. My infrastructure code works fine in real AWS, but not in Localstack. I can invoke my REST API fine, and I can verify that my lambda function is actually getting invoked, but everything ends up returning {"Code":"InternalServerError","Message":"Unknown request."}... it's very perplexing. Has anyone seen anything similar?

    Hi everybody, i've been struggling trying to get localstack and pytest to work and i'm stuck....

    (a) I can run SERVICES=iam localstack start without any problems (the docker run command starts as expected, I can use boto3 on http://localhost:4566).

    (b) when I try using something like

    from localstack.services import infra
    infra.start_infra(apis=['iam'])

    It doesn't look like the stack is running (e.g., no connection to http://localhost:4566 is possible. Actually, it doesn't look like the docker container is started at all (no docker run call).

    Anyone ran into this? Or anyone have a pointer on getting localstack to work with pytest?

    cmacmurray

    Seems no matter how hard i try, i cant get my container to show up as working in the .cloud website dashboard, it sees the event where it starts and can also see that my API key is activated, all the services are running perfectly fine locally

    Hello, does localstack support intentional quota errors? I would like to test how my application would respond if I ever reached a limit for certain services, like Lambda or DynamoDB. I could not find any information on Github or on their website.
