    init doesn’t work at all? Or just not through the Web API?
    Gabriel Roldan
    @groldan
    command line
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    oh, that’s no good
    that’s kinda what I was hoping for
    is it something I can/should take a look at?
    Gabriel Roldan
    @groldan
    all in all, since I'm pretty busy, was hoping you can take over the geoserver plugin, which may only be missing the wicket UI to configure postgres repos
    and JD taking over the init bug
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    ok, I can take over the plugin piece
    it lines up with my GVS work pretty well
    Gabriel Roldan
    @groldan
    okay, so my 2.8.x-geogig geoserver branch should work fine against the current geogig dev
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    cool
    I’ll branch off that and continue testing with it
    Gabriel Roldan
    @groldan
    yeah, I think what we need to do is at the create repository panel have an option to choose filesystem or postgres backend
    and depending on that present the current UI to select directory and name
    or a new one to set up postgres connection params
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    ok, that’s mostly Wicket integratyion stuff, right?
    Gabriel Roldan
    @groldan
    and build up the URI from there
    it's all wicket
    the rest is done
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    ok
    Gabriel Roldan
    @groldan
    that said you might encounter one or other issue
    but for the most part it looks like it's working quite well with RepositoryInfo.getLocation():URI
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    I’ll take that on and put a dependency in GIG-33 on GG-30, since I need GIG-30 done before I can test GIG-33
    Gabriel Roldan
    @groldan
    removed the parentDirectory and name properties already
    and made it so existing configs with the old format still work
    but are saved w the new format
    (the XStream stuff for RepositoryInfo I mean)
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    does it convert existing/old configs, or do you just handle both?
    ok
    Gabriel Roldan
    @groldan
    it converts them
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    you answered my question
    :)
    Gabriel Roldan
    @groldan
    on the fly
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    I’ll try to keep up
    :)
    I’ll pull ownership of GIG-30
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    @groldan so what do we want to do about version numbers?
    Do we want dev to eventually become 1.0-RC3? And get the init bug into 1.0-RC2?
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    @groldan just wanted to let you know that I’m back working on the Wicket stuff for the plugin
    I’ve been out the last couple of days, trying to get back on this
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    @groldan I'm pretty close to finishing the GeoServer plugin for GeoGig to work with GeoGig version 1.0-RC2. I've got to add some more tests and add some more javadocs, but a PR should be coming in soon

    @cuttlefish

    I've sent the following to the dev mailing list:
    I've spent the last couple days updating the state of the IP review.

    Several dependencies were added and several CQs were split into multiple CQs, resulting in 10 new CQs.

    The following issues are causing us grief:

    [11343] JSONassert - Depends on org.json:json which has a license specifying "the Software shall be used for Good, not Evil." Whilst amusing, this is not an open source license. Apparently we can get versions of this without the moral restriction, but I'm concerned that version mismatches may bite us.
    Current status: withdrawn

    [8959] restlet - Had to be split into several CQs.
    Current status: waiting for IP team to re-open

    [9008] jetty - Had to be split into 2 CQs.
    Current status: waiting for IP team to re-open

    [8960] BerkeleyDB - Will be removed, but hasn't been yet. SleepyCat license is a no go.
    Current status: rejected

    [9000] osmosis - The LGPL license is a problem. It seems it may have more serious license issues. See the CQ for the details.
    Current status: waiting for a response from us

    [10775] jtds - This is LGPL but as a transitive dependency from GeoTools it shouldn't be a problem. However, I think we can drop SQL Server support for now, which would make it unnecessary.
    Current status: waiting for a response from us

    [8992] jettison - This includes the source from org.json:json which is not covered by an open source license. We may be able to replace the files, but potential version conflicts exist.
    Current status: waiting for a response from us

    mapdb - Will be removed, but hasn't been yet.

    org.json:json - Not an open source license. See [3453]. We may be able to replace it with an acceptable version, but it's unclear to me if we can apply an open source license to any of the versions, or just a specific one.

    There are another 14 CQs waiting for review.

    Ugh. I guess gitter doesn't support GH flavoured markdown.
    Erik Merkle
    @emerkle826
    @groldan I updated the GeoServer plugin for GeoGig documentation. The chnage reflects the most recent stuff I sent to you on the GeoServer plugin side, so technically it shouldn't be merged until the plugin changes are merged into GeoServer proper. locationtech/geogig#104

    geogig gitter chanel!
    So I want to migrate from http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/jenkins to HIPP.

    Hello everyone, I would like to thank the team's commitment to the development of geogig.
    For some time now I have developed a tool for the same purpose.
    When I became aware of the existence of the geogig, I was very happy, so I began to study it and use it, and to make life easier for my colleagues who do not like the "black screen of commands", I decided to elaborate a desktop Tool with geogig As the main engine.
    It was then that after three months of work, I present the Geogig-Desktop community, the application is still in the pre-release, but for those who want to know, it is already available for download, its address is:

    Wow neat!

    @DBlasby
    awesome. The next version of geogig is much better for larger datasets (including spatial indexing and much improved caching)

    @dinizime
    Hello! I don't know if this is the best place for asking questions. I am quite new to Geogig, and i would like to know how I import data using Geogig web API.
