    @anthonyccri
    ah, thanks
    Jody Garnett
    @jodygarnett
    I am in Calgary airport.
    Sent pictures to @cuttlefish so you can get them.
    Anthony Fox
    @anthonyccri
    @jodygarnett hey! how do you feel about answering some geoserver performance questions from the calgary airport?
    Jody Garnett
    @jodygarnett
    @anthonyccri do you need something?
    I can try.
    Anthony Fox
    @anthonyccri
    got a question about CSVOutputFormat
    basically, it's bringing geoserver to its knees
    when it has to deal with too many features
    Jody Garnett
    @jodygarnett
    Not sure I know that one ... like the code.
    Anthony Fox
    @anthonyccri
    do you know if it streams out or if it gathers things up into an attachment
    ah, ok
    i dug into the code a bit
    Jody Garnett
    @jodygarnett
    Does it do something stupid like load things into memory?
    For the CSV datastore we use a streaming API.
    We would have to look, suffice to say we have a streaming API on hand if you needed it.
    Anthony Fox
    @anthonyccri
    well, i have a geomesa data store which i'm accessing over WFS using csv format
    Jody Garnett
    @jodygarnett
    (So yeah cannot answer without a computer I front of me)
    Anthony Fox
    @anthonyccri
    seems like it doesn't load things into memory
    ah gotcha
    Jody Garnett
    @jodygarnett
    Interesting, I would step through with a debugger to see what some of those methods like flatten feature collection do.
    Other than that check what feature collection it gets back, not all data stores are good about streaming.
    Any hints about their performance other than bad?
    Anthony Fox
    @anthonyccri
    well, hard to say, i am debugging it over the web . . . . not on a local geoserver
    but i can replicate it here
    Jody Garnett
    @jodygarnett
    That is good, we should probably take this up when I get back on a different channel since this is non LocationTech.
    Please send what you find to geoserver-devel
    Anthony Fox
    @anthonyccri
    will do
    thanks

    @jnh5y
    As more incubation news, Mikael helped me get sfcurve snapshots up
    Tyler Battle
    @cuttlefish
    nice!
    Rob Emanuele
    @lossyrob
    W00t
    So how do I add them to a build?
    James Hughes
    @jnh5y

    @lossyrob great question... a link is here
    https://repo.locationtech.org/content/groups/snapshots/org/locationtech/sfcurve/sfcurve-api_2.11/0.1.0-SNAPSHOT/sfcurve-api_2.11-0.1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
    and a Maven whack is this:

    <dependency>
    <groupId>org.locationtech.sfcurve</groupId>
    <artifactId>sfcurve-zorder_2.11</artifactId>
    <version>0.1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
    </dependency>

    I'd guess that you would add repos like:
    https://repo.locationtech.org/content/groups/snapshots/ (or releases)
    and then the SBT line for the GAV
    Rob Emanuele
    @lossyrob
    nice!
    James Hughes
    @jnh5y
    @lossyrob @jodygarnett could one of you reply to my email asking for Cassandra as a dependency with a +1? Sharon is looking for that to process that CQ
    Rob Emanuele
    @lossyrob
    I PMC approved initially, so probably need someone else to comment
    James Hughes
    @jnh5y
    eh, I think you could do both
    Rob Emanuele
    @lossyrob
    I did.
    but just in case
    throwing it out there
    James Hughes
    @jnh5y
    let's see if Sharon will let you do both:)
    James Hughes
    @jnh5y
    @lossyrob @jodygarnett can I get a quick +1 for ImageIO-Ext as a 'workswith' dependency? I do need an actual email
    Jody Garnett
    @jodygarnett
    @jnh5y I was able to answer the RandomAccessFile question- please see geotools-devel for details
    tldr: it is from a tips and techniques book, the class name is referenced in the index
    Rob Emanuele
    @lossyrob
    Here’s the PR for JTS to move license headers: dr-jts/jts#22
    Jody Garnett
    @jodygarnett
    thanks, see martin merged for you
