hi @marthings!
thanks! :-)
welcome aboard!
@felix-last
bascailly, you must have a main domain for your Locomotive back-office
example: station.locomotive.works is the back-office domain name for all the sites hosted by our platform (locomotivecms.com)
BUT you can’t have a Locomotive site rendering a site at this url: https://station.locomotive.works/
that’s not possible
however
you could have https://www.locomotive.works (note the www subdomain)
rendering a locomotive site
in that case, just create a site in Locomotive in the backoffice and add the www.locomotive.works in the list of domains
back to your case now
if one.two.example.com is your main domain name (basically, rendering the back-office), you need another domain OR subdomain to render your Locomotive site

does that make sense?

Thanks @did. As I understand you, I'll need to configure this one.two.example.com as the main domain for the back office somewhere in the engine's config files. Is this correct? And then, which value do I set for domains in site.yml?

right. actually, I’d leave domains empty in your site.yml file and set them up in the back-office instead
@felix-last here what I’ve got in our hosting platform locomotive.rb config file
Locomotive.configure do |config|

  config.host = Rails.env.production? ? 'station.locomotive.works' : 'station.locomotive.dev'

I now configured as you suggested - engine with host set to the full domain, wagon site with domains commented out. After updating the engine, I deleted the site and redeployed. However, now I'm receiving ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS (request one.two.domain.com/locomotive/sign_in, 302 response with target /locomotive/sign_in). :(

you could show us your Engine logs please?
